Template:Unreleased Ventus's Keyblade is a Keyblade used by Ventus in the upcoming prequel Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

It is a notably peculiar Keyblade, with the hilt and guard positioned off the shaft, rather than aligned with it. The shaft, head and teeth are dark grey and have golden lines embedded into it; three just above the guard and one curving around the base. The shaft itself is rounded and becomes thicker around the guard. The teeth are more "mechanical", resembling the teeth of Two Become One, and the hilt and guard resembles that of the Kingdom Key, which may have a connection between Ventus, Sora, and Roxas. The keychain is made up of figure 8 links and the charm appears as two feathers swirling around a green sphere.

Due to its unique construction, this Keyblade is designed to be wielded in reverse. It should be noted that in the secret movie, he held the Keyblade teeth-forward, but recent videos have shown him using the blunt side. This is due to the recent re-design, relocating the hilt and guard to the same side as the teeth.

In Deep Space, Ventus is shown to be riding a board with similar properties as his Keyblade while wearing his armor shown in "Birth by sleep". It is later revealed that Ven can turn his Keyblade into a skateboard and ride it to other worlds like a Gummi Ship.

Trivia

  • The skateboard-style riding of Ventus's Keyblade may imply a further connection between Ventus and Roxas, as Roxas frequently used a skateboard while in Twilight Town.
  • The keychain on Ventus's Keyblade appears as blowing wind in a conical shape. This is notable as Ventus means "Wind" in Latin. The same can be said of Aqua's water-themed keychain (Aqua meaning "Water") and Terra's earth-themed keychain (Terra meaning "Earth").
  • Like the other apprentices' Keyblades, Ventus's changed from the secret ending to the actual game. Ven's made the least drastic change of them all: merely switching what side the teeth are on.
