Theater Mode is a recurring feature in the Kingdom Hearts series. It allows the player to re-watch all voiced cutscenes in the game after beating it at any time via the main menu, where "New Game" and "Load" are accessible (except in the case of Kingdom Hearts 3D, where Theater Mode is accessible from the main menu during gameplay in the Mementos menu). Theater Mode was first introduced with Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ package of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.

  • Basement 12: Hollow Bastion
    • The Slumber's End - Riku awakens in a mysterious place. Guided by a strange voice, he takes a special card that appears before him, and is teleported to Basement 12 of Castle Oblivion.
    • Hollow Bastion - Riku enters the card world of Hollow Bastion, the voice forcing him to recollect his most grim of memories.
    • A Tiny Room - Riku's dark memories continue to torment him as the voice leads him to his old bedroom.
    • Empty Heart - The voice tells Riku that the reason why he isn't encountering others is the darkness in his heart, and how this darkness is all he knows.
    • Maleficent Returns - Riku comes before Maleficent, the witch claiming how Riku craves darkness. The two battle, Riku earning the victory.
    • Ansem of the Dark - After exiting Hollow Bastion, Riku comes face-to-face with Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, the source of the voice. Ansem proceeds to battle Riku.
    • Ansem's Offer - After their tussle, Ansem offers Riku the power of darkness.
    • The Organization - We are introduced to Zexion and Lexaeus, who converse along with Vexen about two mysterious scents that appeared in the castle's lowest basement.
  • Basement 11: Traverse Town
    • The Smell of Darkness and the King's Light - Riku senses for the first time the darkness. Realizing the darkness has indeed gotten to him, a hallucination of King Mickey persuades him not to lose hope.
    • The Other Hero - Zexion deduces the "other scent" to be Riku. This piques Vexen's interest.
  • Basement 10: Monstro
    • One Who Walks in the Twilight - Riku comes before Vexen, the Nobody confusing him with riddles about an "Ansem" who walks the Twilight.
    • Stolen Data - After their battle, Vexen thanks Riku for providing him with valuable data.
  • Basement 9: Neverland
    • Zexion the Tactician - Zexion reveals to Lexaeus that Vexen's replica is soon to be completed.
  • Basement 8 :Agrabah
    • Riku vs. Riku - Riku is shocked to find himself faced with his replica.
    • A Replica's Pride - Riku defeats the fake, finding the toy's false claims of "wiping the floor with him" comical.
    • Vexen and His Replica - The Riku Replica discusses his battle with Riku with Vexen. He is sent to meet Sora.
  • Basement 7: Halloween Town
    • What You Should Be - Riku searches for his replica, encountering Ansem instead. Ansem tells Riku that he should view his replica as a model rather than a "fake."
    • Memories of Lies - After Vexen, Axel, and Larxene discuss potential plans for Sora, the Riku Replica appears, forced to take on the real Riku's memories via Naminé.
  • Basement 6: Atlantica
    • Kairi's Shadow - Larxene taunts Naminé, but is stopped by the Riku Replica, whom has had his memories changed. After he leaves the room, Naminé is tempted by Larxene into erasing Kairi from Sora's memories completely.
  • Basement 5: Wonderland
    • Obtaining Riku - After the fall of Vexen, Lexaeus and Zexion decide that their only chance of stopping Marluxia is to obtain Riku.
  • Basement 4: Olympus Coliseum
    • Ridding Myself of the Dark - Riku comes to his last card world. Ansem comes before him, Riku bragging that if he went through this world and didn't cower, he'd be the "winner" of their little game.
    • Lexaeus the Tacturn - Riku exits a card world to be faced with Lexaeus, who sternly begs Riku to let go of his fear of the darkness. The two engage in a battle.
    • In a Flesh of Darkness - Riku's body is possessed by Ansem, Lexaeus destroyed in the process.
    • The World of Darkness - After the fall of Lexaeus, Ansem almost completely gains control over Riku. The King comes to his rescue, however.
    • The King's Heart - The King tells Riku that he will never be alone, as their hearts are connected.
    • The Tactician's Move - After the destruction of Lexaeus, Zexion discusses with Axel his plan to do away with Riku.
  • Basement 3: Destiny Islands
    • A Card of Home - Riku encounters Zexion after the fall of Marluxia shakes the castle, the Nobody presenting him with a card version of his home, Destiny Islands, but not before revealing Sora is in the castle.
    • Lost Friends - Riku enters Destiny Islands, realizing how much he missed being home. He encounters Tidus, Selphie, and Wakka, the trio revealed just to be illusions.
    • Lost Memories - Riku reunites with Kairi, the girl revealed to be yet another illusion. Zexion soon appears, ready to claim Riku as his own.
    • One Who Destroyed Home - Zexion forces Riku to relive the night his island was destroyed. Riku is then forced to fight the Darkside, which Zexion claims Riku really is.
    • A Friend's Back - Riku is attacked by Sora, his childhood friend, after the fall of the Darkside Zexion summons.
    • Yours Alone - Naminé speaks to Riku in Kairi's form, teaching him to accept both light and darkness.
    • Accepting the Darkness - Riku accepts his darkness, mortally wounding Zexion, forcing the Nobody to flee.
    • The Tactician's End - Zexion returns to his chambers mortally wounded, betrayed by Axel and eliminated by the Riku Replica.
  • Basement 2: Twilight Town
    • Reunion with the King - Riku is finally reunited with King Mickey.
    • DiZ - Riku arrives in Twilight Town, only to be faced with Ansem. Riku reconsiders his attack, discovering that the Ansem before him is not the true Ansem. The enigma states he is correct, revealing himself to be a man named DiZ. The bandage-faced man then instructs Riku to find Naminé and "make a choice."
    • The Last One-on-One - The Riku Replica and the true Riku face off for the last time, the replica using new strength gained from absorbing Zexion's life-force.
    • The Same Place as Mine - Before the Riku Replica fades away into darkness, Riku claims the fake's heart will go to the same place as his.
    • Riku's Choice - Riku meets Naminé, discovering Sora's sleeping form. Rather than going to sleep to have his heart locked, Riku chooses to fight Ansem, himself.
    • DiZ Guidance - DiZ grants Riku the card that will draw the true Ansem out. He also bestows to both Riku and King Mickey Organization cloaks, which will aid them as they travel the darkness and fight its denizens.
  • Basement 1: Castle Oblivion
    • Riku's Resolve and the King's Determination - Riku asks to fight Ansem alone, and for the King to destroy him if Ansem possesses him, the King wishing to come to Riku's aid instead.
    • To the Heart of Darkness - Entering Castle Oblivion, Riku calls out to Ansem, who claims to be hiding in the darkest depths of the world.
    • The Foul Stench - Riku and Ansem face off in their final battle.
    • Darkness Released - Riku deals the final blow to Ansem, finally reprieved from his great pain caused by the villain.
    • After the Battle - Riku and King Mickey realize their friendship, ready to voyage together from that point forward.
  • Ending
    • Where the Road Leads - Riku tells DiZ he wishes to take the middle road, the "Road to Dawn," with King Mickey by his side.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix[]

    • The Orders - At The World That Never Was, Axel is ordered to eliminate Roxas for betraying the Organization. Axel refuses, arguing that Roxas hasn't betrayed them, but with the threat of being turned into a Dusk, he complies.
    • Three Figures on Sunset Hill - At Sunset Hill in Twilight Town, Riku, Axel, and Naminé watch Sora depart on the train. Riku then lets Naminé and Axel go rather than eliminate them as he was ordered too, stating that he owes them for their assistance at Castle Oblivion.
    • The Plans - At the Castle That Never Was, in Where Nothing Gathers, several Organization members discuss the Keyblade master. Showing promise, Xemnas orders the other members to pursue Sora.
    • The Outcome - Saïx discusses with Xemnas his latest confrontation with Sora and his concerns about Axel's loyalty to the Organization.
    • An Old Friend - An unknown figure clad in an Organization XIII cloak enters Ansem's Study and downloads data from the computer to a disc. After obtaining the data, the unknown figure heads under the Heartless Manufactory to the Chamber of Repose, where he greets an "old friend".
    • The New Headquarters - Xigbar discusses with Zexion the Chamber of Sleep, saying that he eavesdropped on many of the conversations and even heard a voice that differed from Xemnas's once. The scene ends with Xigbar talking about the new headquarters.
    • The Debate - At Where Nothing Gathers, several Organization members debate on what to do now that Sora is aware of their plan, making brief note of how Demyx met his end. At the end of the scene, Xaldin insinuates that he plans on taking matters into his own hands personally.
    • The Conclusion - Taking place at Where Nothing Gathers, several Organization members discuss Axel's demise.
    • A New You - In front of the Old Mansion, Xemnas appears and gives Sora's Nobody the name, Roxas.
    • Remembrance - This scene is obtained after defeating Roxas. Taking place on top of the Clock Tower, Roxas and Axel discuss whether or not they actually have hearts. At the end of the scene, Roxas vanishes, completing Sora.
    • Riku Vs. Roxas - At Memory's Skyscraper, a battle ensues between Riku and Roxas, to which Riku is the victor. Upon defeat, DiZ appears and mocks Roxas's belief of having emotions.
    • Birth by Sleep (Secret Ending) - Three armored Keyblade wielders engage a bald-headed man and his dark ally to a climatic battle.

358/2 Days[]

    • Opening - Opening credits are displayed while we are introduced to each member of Organization XIII and their Journal entries. The player witnesses Roxas's birth, and the Nobody's conversation with Axel about having a heart or not. "Sanctuary" plays in the background.
    • Meet Xion - Organization XIII joins in Where Nothing Gathers to welcome their newest recruit, Xion.
    • The Dark Margin - Roxas and Xemnas converse on the Dark Meridian about their true names.
    • The Man in Black Reflects - A hooded Riku stands atop Beast's Castle, recalling his previous battle with Xion.
    • Xion's Defeat - Xion's battle with Riku is elaborated.
    • Naminé and DiZ - Naminé explains to DiZ how Xion's existence is interfering with Sora's awakening process.
    • Why the Sun Sets Red - During a meeting in Twilight Town for Sea-salt Ice Cream, Axel elaborates upon why the sun is red.
    • Snarl of Memories - Desperate to find Xion, Roxas stands on the beach of Destiny Islands. He locates her, only to be encountered by a disguised Zexion. Zexion has a stand-off with a younger Riku, Roxas taking on the forms of Xion, Riku, and eventually Sora himself, as this entire sequence is only one of Xion's nightmares.
    • Riku Takes Care of Xion - Riku watches after an unconscious Xion on Destiny Islands.
    • Roxas Passes By - While looking after Xion, Roxas runs past Riku into a Corridor of Darkness.
    • Xion's Dream - Xion elaborates on why she cannot return to the Organization with Roxas and Axel.
    • Xion's Capture - After chasing an impostor, Roxas reveals the hooded antagonist to be Xion, who attacks Roxas and later Axel when they attempt to return her to the Organization.
    • Axel and Saïx - Axel's friendship with Xion and Roxas is questioned by Saïx, Saïx revealing Axel's true name to be Lea in the process.
    • Xion and Riku - Riku reveals Xion's true identity as a replica of Sora to the Keyblade wielder, and how her existence prevents Sora's awakening.
    • Riku's Resolve - Riku is assigned the mission of capturing Roxas as a last chance of awakening Sora.
    • Mickey and Riku-Ansem - King Mickey travels through the woods of Twilight Town to be encountered by an old enemy, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. However, the dark denizen is eventually revealed to be Riku.
    • Roxas Leaves the Organization - Roxas confirms to Axel that he is leaving Organization XIII behind to learn why the Keyblade chose him, against his friend's wishes.
    • Xion and Namine - Xion meets Naminé in the White Room, where Xion decides once and for all that she must return to Sora.
    • Xion and Axel Face Off - Outside of the Old Mansion, Xion and Axel battle for the final time, all gloves off.
    • Xion Attacks - Xion comes before Roxas in the form of Sora, revealing she must absorb the Nobody in order to achieve her goals.
    • Xion's End - Xion fatally wounded from losing to Roxas, she begs the Nobody to reclaim Kingdom Hearts and undo her mistakes, dying in his arms, but not before telling Roxas that he and Axel were her best friends.
    • WINNER - Axel is frustrated by the loss of Xion and Roxas. He later discovers a WINNER stick that he had once told Roxas about, this Popsicle stick the last gift from his former best friend.
    • Skyscraper Battle - Roxas fights off several Neoshadows on the quest to reclaim Kingdom Hearts.
    • Roxas and Riku - Riku and Roxas team up to fend off the Neoshadows before they battle. All memories of Xion are lost in the process.
    • Riku Turns Into Ansem - Riku sacrifices his form to capture Roxas, the Nobody desperately struggling to do away with him.
    • After the Battle - Riku, now in the form of Xehanort's Heartless permanently, tells a recently arriving DiZ that Roxas had felt Sora, the two taking him to the Simulated Twilight Town. Xion also bids Roxas a final goodbye.
    • A New Day - Roxas awakens in the Simulated Twilight Town with new friends, a new personality, and new attire.
    • The Usual Spot - Roxas is seen racing to meet his friends for a trip to the beach, the end credits beginning to play. "Sanctuary ~After the Battle~" is the theme.

Birth by Sleep[]

  • Opening - The opening credits show scenes from the Secret Videos "The Gathering" and "Birth by Sleep". "Simple and Clean" is played in background.

Terra[]

    • The Outside World
    • The Boy Who Sought the World - A young man stands on a beach, claiming his "world is too small". Many years later the same man, though much older returns to the island, dressed in a Black Coat carrying the body of a young boy wrapped in a white cover under his arm.
    • A Voice Amidst the Waves - The man places the body of Ventus on the Paopu tree. Within his heart the boy wonders where he is when a light flashes.
    • Heart to Heart - Ventus falls and lands on his Dive to the Heart though it is blank and fractured. His heart then comes into contact with a new heart which completes his Dive to the Heart pillar.
    • Birth by Sleep - As Master Xehanort prepares to leave he notices Ven's arm is raised in the air and a Keyblade appears which glows and shoots a light in the air.
  • The Land of Departure/Three Pupils
    • The Meteor Shower - Ven is laying on his bed in his room when he notices a meteor shower happening and rushes out to see it.
    • Wayfinder - Ven is laying to the ground watching the meteor shower when Aqua surprises him. Aqua presents Terra and Ven the Wayfinders she made, saying that they are good luck charms. Explaining that they represent the unbreakable bond between them.
    • The Last Night - The three head back to the castle, Aqua says to herself, they will be "together... always" while looking up at the night sky. That was the last night they were together beneath the same stars.
    • The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Mickey Mouse is shown in the middle of an ocean on a book, which is then swallowed up in a whirlpool. He lands in Yen Sid's study and is warned something bad is afoot.
    • Mark of Mastery - Terra and Aqua are to begin the Mark of Mastery Exam. Ven is looking around and sees Master Xehanort and seems uncomfortable to see him. Master Eraqus explains the exam and what it is for. When the exam begins Master Eraqus creates orbs of light but Master Xehanort tampers with them and they act on their own. Terra and Aqua begin to destroy them when a rogue orb goes after Ven. Ven then helps Terra and Aqua destroy the orbs together.
    • Eraqus Announces the Results - Aqua and Terra fight against each other, but Terra has trouble controlling his darkness. The exam ends with only Aqua gaining the title of Master. Terra wishing to be alone leaves and runs into Master Xehanort.
    • Another Road - Terra and Master Xehanort converse on darkness. Master comments that darkness cannot be destroyed it can only be channeled. A bell chimes and Terra runs back inside the castle. Meanwhile Master Xehanort smiles wickedly and walks through a Corridor of Darkness.
    • The Unversed Threat - Master Eraqus receives a message for his old friend Yen Sid telling him that the Princesses of Heart are in danger by the darkness as well as a new threat that feeds on negativity called the Unversed. He then send Terra and Aqua to stop this new threat and locate Master Xehanort. He also gives Terra the chance to prove that he has what it takes to be a Master. Ven is not present during this.
    • Departure - Terra departs on a journey to defeat the Unversed and locate Master Xehanort who disappeared. Leaving a distraught Ventus behind.
  • Enchanted Dominion/The Call of Darkness
    • Another World – Terra arrives at a new world and is quickly met by some Unversed.
    • Chasing the Unversed - While battling the Unversed, one manages to sneak away, so Terra chases after it.
    • Maleficent - The Unversed leads Terra to a bridge and, after defeating it, Terra notices a large castle looming in front of him. He meets a strange figure, who reveals that everyone inside the castle has been cast into a deep slumber. The figure reveals her name to be Maleficent and Terra quizzes her on the Unversed and Master Xehanort's disappearance. Maleficent says that she has seen a man inside the castle that was speaking of 'imprisoning the light'. She also informs Terra that the man may have been looking for a girl named Aurora, who Terra sets off to find.
    • Unlocking the Door - Using his Keyblade, Terra unlocks a mysterious door that is shrouded in darkness.
    • Darkness Within - Terra finds a beautiful princess, slumbering in the room, a scene which feels extremely familiar to him. Maleficent appears, and explains that the princess's heart doesn't contain any darkness. Maleficent continues by announcing that she wishes to steal seven pure hearts, like Aurora's, and rule all worlds. Terra remembers some advice from Master Eraqus, but Maleficent is still able to control the darkness in Terra and she forces him to unlock Aurora's heart. Terra is shocked by his actions and he refuses to join Maleficent in her evil plans. Suddenly, the castle starts to shake, and Maleficent disappears, while Terra races off.
    • Off on the Wrong Foot - Terra returns to the princess's room and vows to help her regain her heart. He then reflects on his new knowledge and Maleficent watches him leave from afar.
  • Dwarf Woodlands/The Queen's Scheme
    • Who is the Fairest One of All? - The Queen asks the Magic Mirror "who is the fairest one of all?", he answers Snow White angering the queen. Terra, listening on the conversation, wonders if Xehanort is there. He is then tasked to kill Snow White and bring her heart to the Queen..
    • Her Heart Is Pure Light - Terra finds Snow White and senses her heart is pure light. He asks about Xehanort, but she doesn't know anything. They are attacked by Unversed and Snow White runs into the woods.
    • Back to the Castle - Terra then realizes his only option to find Xehanort is the Magic Mirror back at the castle.
    • The Shadows Lengthen - Terra returns to the castle without Snow White's heart angering the Queen, who then throws a potion at the Mirror. Thus turning the Mirror into an Unversed, Terra then engages it in battle.
    • A Meager Clue - After Terra defeats the Mirror, he then asks it about Xehanort. The Mirror then says Xehanort is at a place where a war was raged, Terra then leaves.
    • To Yen Sid's Tower - Terra then decides that it was time he spoke with Yen Sid himself.
  • Castle of Dreams/The Ball
    • A Girl in Distress - Terra meets a crying girl and consoles her. He tries to console her, but they are attacked by Unversed.
    • Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo - The Fairy Godmother appears and uses her magic to transform Cinderella and send her to the ball. Terra learns a valuable lesson about believing in his dreams.
    • Cinderella's Strength - Terra travels to the castle where he finds Unversed attacking Cinderella. After defeating the Unversed, Terra agrees to escort Cinderella to the ball.
    • The Ball of Her Dreams - Terra and Cinderella arrive safely at the ball, where Cinderella dances with the Prince, much to the dismay of her jealous family. Terra spots some Unversed on a balcony, so he sets off to defeat them.
    • Terra Spots the Unversed - Terra comes face to face with a large Unversed that commands instruments. He evacuates the ballroom and engages it in battle.
    • The Stroke of Twelve - After defeating the Unversed, Terra discusses the creatures appearance with the Grand Duke. He learns that a masked boy could have something to do with it. The clock strikes twelve and Cinderella disappears into the night.
    • Reunion with Aqua - While running away, Cinderella loses her slipper. Terra sees Aqua and she tells him that Ventus has run away from home. He informs Aqua of his findings so far, and leaves her to finish investigating.
  • A New Calling
    • Secret Meeting - Master Xehanort talks to someone, who smiles wickedly and walks away.
    • Crossing Paths - Terra sees someone with a Keyblade, who promptly disappears using a strange star-like object.
    • An Audience with Yen Sid - Terra converses with Yen Sid about the Unversed, Master Xehanort, and the Masked Boy. After he leaves Yen Sid comments on Xehanort to himself.
    • Terra Hears a Voice - Terra is summoned to the Badlands by Master Xehanort.
    • The Masked Boy's Identity - Master Xehanort tells Terra the identity and origins of the Masked Boy Vanitas, and how he was accidentally created in a desperate attempt to save Ventus from succumbing to darkness.
    • Flashback: The Boy with No Memories - Terra has a flashback about the time he first time he and Aqua met Ventus.
    • The Abomination - Master Xehanort begs Terra to help atone for his mistakes by destroying Vanitas, and is instructed to search in the Radiant Garden, where Vanitas will undoubtedly strike next.
  • Radiant Garden/The Other Road
    • The Unversed Appear - Terra lands in Radiant Garden and is immediately attacked by the Unversed.
    • Xehanort Walks Into Town - Terra sees Master Xehanort and wonders what he is doing there.
    • Lost and Found - Terra sees an old man drop a book.
    • A Curious Book - Terra returns the book that Merlin the Wizard dropped. Merlin explains that the book can awaken a person's innermost abilities. Terra requests to try awakening his own abilities.
    • The Giant Unversed Appears - After meeting Merlin, Terra spots a giant Unversed and follows it to the mining area.
    • Brought Together - Terra, Aqua, and Ventus reunite, but their reunion is short-lived as they must battle a giant Unversed.
    • Walls of the Heart - Terra, Aqua, and Ventus defeat the Unversed, but the ensuing argument forces them to go their separate ways.
    • A Shady Character - Terra encounters the mysterious Braig, who claims to have captured Master Xehanort.
    • Xehanort the Captive - Terra engages Braig in a tense battle to free Master Xehanort.
    • What Darkness Can Do - Terra defeats Braig, scarring the latter's face in a show of anger. Master Xehanort then gives Terra the opportunity to be his pupil, claiming he shows the true Mark of Mastery as he was able to channel the darkness.
    • An Eerie Farewell - Terra meets Ventus just as he's about to leave. Ventus asks to go with him, but Terra turns him down, but claims that Ventus will be there when he needs him.
    • The Power to Steal Hearts - Angered greatly at the loss of his eye, Braig attempts to attack Master Xehanort, but is threatened to back down. The two then converse about Terra.
  • Disney Town/The Dream Festival
    • Unversed Mayhem - Terra lands in Disney Town near a racetrack and is almost run over.
    • Terra Becomes a Racer - Terra meets Minnie, Chip and Dale who had helped him dodge the racer. Then Captain Dark appears. Terra then joins the race as a racer and promises to play by the rules.
    • No More Bending the Rules - The race ends with Terra as the winner, which earns him the votes of both Chip and Dale. Terra states he learned that you don't have to break the rules to reach your goals.
    • The Million Dreams Award - Terra, Ventus, and Aqua all win the Million Dreams Award. But, only Terra is there to receive the prize, a special ice cream flavor. Pete rushes on the stage and demands the prize. He is then banished during the ceremony. Terra then tastes the Rockin' Crunch Ice Cream he was given.
    • Servant of Darkness - Pete is rescued by Maleficent, who claims to have use for him.
  • Olympus Coliseum/Stronger Than Darkness
    • A Glimpse of Heroism - Terra arrives to find a young boy being attacked by Unversed.
    • The Games - Terra talks with the boy, who tells him about a competition to test your strength.
    • How to Conquer the Darkness - Terra arrives at the Coliseum and meets Hades. Hades tells him that he must sign up to the games, in order to learn how to conquer the darkness inside himself.
    • Registration - Hades helps Terra sign up to the Games.
    • Plan Beta - Surprised by Terra's success in the Games, Hades decides to switch to 'Plan Beta'. He sees a masked warrior, who he calls towards him.
    • Final Match - Terra meets his next opponent, the masked fighter seen with Hades earlier.
    • Warrior of Darkness - Terra's opponent suddenly begins to fight mush more fiercely. Hades appears and reveals that he is controlling the fighter, through the darkness in his heart. Terra’s opponent begs him for his help.
    • The Picture of a Hero - Terra saves the boy and Hades leaves. The boy thanks Terra and reveals his name to be Zack. Zack discusses the property of a hero with Terra and they become friends.
  • Deep Space/What a Friend is
    • Battle in the Lanes Between - While Terra flying on his Keyblade Glider he is attacked by a large group of Unversed.
    • Wrong Place, Wrong Time - After Terra defeats the Unversed a large ship appears and drags him aboard.
    • Terra the Prisoner - Terra awakens and discovers that he is locked in a cell. While looking around he hears some talking and finds Unversed. He breaks out of the cell to confront the Unversed.
    • Dr. Jumba's Request - When Terra defeats the Unversed another prisoner claims that he was imprisoned on false charges. The prisoner tells him about the experiment he created. Terra decides to release the prisoner, named Dr. Jumba Jookiba, and look for Experiment 626.
    • The Mightiest Creature in the Galaxy - Dr. Jumba takes Terra to the room where Experiment 626 is being held. 626 is released and immediately jumps onto Terra and takes Terra's Wayfinder. Terra states that his friend gave it to him 626 drops the Wayfinder on the ground and runs away. Terra picks it up and realizes how much he misses his friends. The suggests that maybe the experiment wants friends, to which Jumba denies and brings to life another experiment to attack Terra.
    • "When you feel it, you'll know it." - When Terra defeats the other experiment, 626 reenters the room and growls at Jumba, Terra surmises that he wants to know what a friend is. He says that he cannot explain friendship but 626 will know it when he feels it. Soon the alarms go off and 626 runs off followed by Jumba, while Terra summons his glider and escapes.
  • Never Land/The Boy Who Could Fly
    • Captain Hook's Predicament - Terra lands in Never Land and runs into Captain Hook, and Smee getting attacked by Unversed.
    • A Boy Who's After the Light? - Captain Hook tells Terra that the chest is full of light and that a boy named Peter Pan is trying to steal it.
    • Peter Pan's Big Entrance - Terra takes the chest to Skull Rock and runs into Peter Pan. Terra then challenges Peter to fight.
    • Enemies No More - During the fight Terra spots the Lost Boys stealing the treasure. He chases them but Cubby trips and they drop it. All that falls out of the chest is gold and jewels, not light. Terra apologizes to Peter and they becomes friends.
    • The Lost Boys in Peril - As Terra leaves the cave he hears the boys' crying out for help.
    • A Swarm of Unversed - He returns to the cave and sees the two boys being attacked by a swarm of Unversed.
    • Captain Hook Returns - Captain Hook returns with a captured Tinker Bell, Terra then releases her. Captain Hook then flees after he sees the Crocodile.
    • Flashback: The Last Night - Terra thinks back to the last night he, Aqua, and Ven spent together.
    • Treasures All Their Own - The Lost Boys are sad since they lost the treasure, Terra then suggests that they put what is important to them in the treasure chest. He then wonders what he would put in there.
  • The Passing of the Power
    • The Warmth of Light - Terra, on his Keyblade Glider, comments on the light being warm.
    • Legacy - Terra lands on the Destiny Islands where he meets two young boys, Riku and Sora. He then chooses Riku to be his successor and inherit the Keyblade.
  • Xehanort's Ambition
    • Xehanort Summons Terra - Master Xehanort calls Terra to the Badlands and tells him that Ventus went to confront Master Eraqus about his past.
    • A Friend's Duty - Terra saves Ventus just as Master Eraqus is about to destroy him.
    • Master and Pupil Trade Blows - Terra engages Master Eraqus in a decisive battle.
    • Eraqus's Demise - Just as Terra and Eraqus begin to feel remorse for their actions, Master Xehanort deals the final blow to Eraqus. He then tells Terra to meet him in the Keyblade Graveyard as he covers the Land of Departure in darkness.
    • The World Collapses - Terra watches in horror as the Land of Departure is completely destroyed, and then goes to the Keyblade Graveyard to confront Master Xehanort.
  • The Keyblade Graveyard/Never Let Go
    • For Friendship - Terra arrives at the Keyblade Graveyard. He then claims that whatever he does, he is doing it for friendship.
    • Gathering - Terra, Ventus, and Aqua prepare for the final battle with Xehanort and Vanitas.
    • Kingdom Hearts - Terra, Aqua, and Ven engage in battle against Master Xehanort, and Vanitas seemingly outmatched. Master Xehanort summons a blue moon in the sky. Mickey appears shortly after. Terra confronts Master Xehanort and questions him about what he did to Ventus. A fight breaking out shortly after his explanations.
    • Darkness Takes Over - While fighting Xehanort, Terra loses control of his anger, and succumbs to the darkness.
    • The Last Bastion of Free Will - Terra defeats Master Xehanort, but the elderly Keyblade Master uses his Keyblade to unlock his heart and use it to possess Terra's body, creating a new, younger Xehanort. Xehanort is about to leave, but is forced to face off against Terra's discarded armor, brought to life by the young man's remaining thoughts and emotions.
  • Return to Silence - Terra's Lingering Will defeats Xehanort, and kneels down, while a bright light consumes Xehanort. The blue moon shines brightly on the armor before disappearing behind clouds. Terra's voice is then heard stating that "one day he will set this right". The credits then begin to roll.

Ventus[]

    • The Outside World
    • The Boy Who Sought the World - A young man stands on a beach, claiming his "world is too small". Many years later the same man, though much older returns to the island, dressed in a Black Coat carrying the body of a young boy wrapped in a white cover under his arm.
    • A Voice Amidst the Waves - The man places the body of Ventus on the Paopu tree. Within his heart the boy wonders where he is when a light flashes.
    • Heart to Heart - Ventus falls and lands on his Dive to the Heart though it is blank and fractured. His heart then comes into contact with a new heart which completes his Dive to the Heart pillar.
    • Birth by Sleep - As Master Xehanort prepares to leave he notices Ven's arm is raised in the air and a Keyblade appears which glows and shoots a light in the air.
  • The Land of Departure/Three Pupils
    • The Meteor Shower - Ven is laying on his bed in his room, when he notices a meteor shower happening and rushes out to see it.
    • Wayfinder - Ven is laying to the ground watching the meteor shower when Aqua surprises him. Aqua presents Terra and Ven the Wayfinders she made, saying that they are good luck charms. Explaining that they represent the unbreakable bond between them.
    • The Last Night - The three head back to the castle, Aqua says to herself, they will be "together... always" while looking up at the night sky. That was the last night they were together beneath the same stars.
    • The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Mickey Mouse is shown in the middle of an ocean on a book, which is then swallowed up in a whirlpool. He lands in Yen Sid's study and is warned something bad is afoot.
    • Mark of Mastery - Terra and Aqua are to begin the Mark of Mastery Exam. Ven is looking around and sees Master Xehanort and seems uncomfortable to see him. Master Eraqus explains the exam and what it is for. When the exam begins Master Eraqus creates orbs of light but Master Xehanort tampers with them and they act on their own. Terra and Aqua begin to destroy them when a rogue orb goes after Ven. Ven then helps Terra and Aqua destroy the orbs together.
    • Eraqus Announces the Results - Aqua and Terra fight against each other, but Terra has trouble controlling his darkness. The exam ends with only Aqua gaining the title of Master. Terra wishing to be alone leaves. Master Xehanort is next seen talking to a Masked Boy about Ventus.
    • The Masked Boy - The Masked Boy appears in Ventus's room, leaving dark hints about Terra.
    • Chasing Terra - Ventus tries to give Terra a warning, but arrives too late, and chases after him.
  • Dwarf Woodlands/Ven's First New World
    • The Merry Seven - Ven lands in the Dwarf Woodlands and sees the Seven Dwarfs walking into a cave.
    • Diamond Thief? - Ven follows the Dwarfs into the cave, but is immediately accused of being a diamond thief. The Dwarfs then scatter and hide. He tries to explain, but they won't listen.
    • Unwelcome - Ven continues to explain that is not a diamond thief, but they still don't believe him. They tell him that there is a castle beyond the forest, so he decides to try there.
    • The Little Cottage in the Woods - Ven comes across a little cottage in a clearing, when he hears a scream coming from the woods.
    • A Frightened Snow White - Ven discovers Snow White in the woods and tells about the cottage, where she should safe.
    • Who Attacked the Princess? - Ven takes Snow White to Dwarfs cottage. They shortly return home and discover Snow White in the bedroom. Snow White tells Ven about a stranger that had approached her, with a sword-like key. Ven realizes it was Terra and runs to find him.
    • The Wicked Wood Spirit - Ven runs into the woods, but is attacked by an Tree Unversed.
    • Where Did Terra Go? - Ven makes it to the Flower Glade, and runs into an old woman (really the Queen in disguise) and unknowingly leads her to Snow White. She tells Ven that Terra had threatened her with the Keyblade.
  • Castle of Dreams/The Power of Believing
    • A New Friend - A young girl sits at her window and sighs as a small mouse runs into the room stating that there is someone he has never seen before stuck in a trap. The girl named Cinderella, then runs out of the room.
    • Cinderella's Kindness - Ven wonders how he became so small, when he is helped by Cinderella and the mouse called Jaq. Cinderella is called away to do chores. The two talk about Cinderella's dream while Ven remembers Terra talking about his dream of becoming a Keyblade Master.
    • A Dress to Fix - Jaq tells Ven about the ball at the castle. Cinderella comes in the room and states that she is going to the ball that night, but then she gets called away again which is causing her to be unable to finish her dress. Jaq and Ven then decide to help Cinderella finish her dress by finding pretty things around the house.
    • Just Need a Pearl! - Jaq says that they still need a pretty pearl which Ven decides to go get himself.
    • Lucifer the Menace - Ven finds a pearl, but it is close to the sleeping cat Lucifer. Ven tries sneaking away with the pearl, but Lucifer wakes up and tries to attack him. Jaq throws yarn balls at the cat, but falls Ven then fights of the cat allowing Jaq to get away with the pearl.
    • That's What Friends Do - Lucifer runs off and Jaq thanks Ven for saving him. Ven says that that's what friends do.
    • Keep On Believing - Cinderella is upset because she was unable to finish her dress. Ven and Jaq then present her with a finished dress so that she could go to the ball. Ven and Jaq then talk about Ven's dream. Ven thinks back to Terra and Aqua and how they all share the same dream. Ven says that he never really thought about it. He says that all he needs to do is to keep believing.
  • Enchanted Dominion/A Stolen Heart
    • The Sleeping Princess - Ven wanders through a castle, still unable to find Terra, when he stumbles upon a room with a sleeping woman in the room. Three fairies tell Ven about what happen to the princess, called Aurora. Ven offers to retrieve her heart for them.
    • Maleficent's Barrier - Ven and the three fairies reach a barrier designed by Maleficent. One fairy extinguishes the barriers and they continue on their way.
    • Sleeping on the Job - They then come across Maleficent guards and Ven takes them on in battle.
    • Freeing the Heart of Light - Ven then finds Aurora's heart and releases it with his Keyblade. The heart then floats back to the princess. A bright light then flashes.
    • Princess Aurora's Memory - Princess Aurora meets the prince, but then she runs away. He asks to meet her again and she tell him that evening at her cottage in the glen.
    • Her Dream Came True - The three fairies then tell him that light was Aurora's memory and that she must have gotten her heart back. Ven happily says that her dream came true.
    • Terra Stole Her Heart? - Maleficent stops Ven and the fairies and says that Terra was the one that stole her heart. Ven angrily denies this and a battle ensues.
    • Reunion with Aqua - Maleficent then taunts Ven about how Terra stole Aurora's heart, but then Aqua appears. She tells Ven that Terra would never do as Maleficent says, she then tries to convince Ven to go home with her. Ven apologizes to Aqua as he cannot go back and runs off.
    • Trust - Ven leaves the castle wondering where Terra was.
  • Keyblade Wielders
    • An Invitation to Danger - While traveling the Lanes Between, Ventus encounters the Masked Boy and follows him to the Badlands.
    • The Masked Boy's Keyblade - Ventus tries to get some answers out of the Masked Boy, but the boy responds by challenging him to a duel, revealing that he is a Keyblade Wielder.
    • Another Keyblade Wielder - Despite Ventus's best efforts, the Masked Boy easily outmatches and nearly kills him, but Mickey comes to Ventus's aid.
    • Peas in a Pod - Mickey and Ventus defeat the Masked Boy, who then leaves through a Corridor of Darkness.
  • Radiant Garden/Meetings and Partings
    • To the City of Light - Ven, on his Keyblade Glider, finds himself in front a new world.
    • Is That Mickey? - Ven in lands in the Radiant Garden and he sees Mickey.
    • The Castle Guards - Ven after following Mickey arrives in front a large Castle. He tries to enter but is stopped the two guards, Dilan and Aeleus. He then sees a large Unversed and gives chase. The guards attempt to follow, but are stopped by Even who states that their Lord wishes to see them. Even then comments about Ven.
    • An Invitation to Disney Town - Ven while chasing the Unversed, sees it harassing someone and saves them. He is then approached by Scrooge McDuck who gives him three lifetime passes to Disney Town, one for him and two grown-ups.
    • The Wizard and the Book - Still chasing the Unversed, Ven runs into Merlin who knows that Ven is trying awaken his abilities and tells the book is in the house.
    • Brought Together - Terra, Aqua, and Ventus reunite, but their reunion is short-lived as they must battle a giant Unversed.

    • Eyes Without Fear - Ven rescues a young boy from the Unversed.
    • First Connection - Ven then meets Even and the young boy, Ienzo. Ven asks about Terra, to which Even says he did see him pass by. Even goes on to say that he and Ven will meet again someday.
    • An Eerie Farewell - Ven finds Terra and asks to go with him. Terra says no, but goes on to say that he knows that Ven will be there if he ever needs him soon after Terra leaves. Ven then says that he better tell Aqua.
    • Another Farewell - Ven tells Aqua about Terra, who then goes to follow him again. Ven also requests to go with Aqua, but she too says no and to go home. She then leaves him behind as well.
    • Flashback: The Wooden Keyblade - Ven remembers the day when Terra gave him the Wooden Keyblade. He and Terra were training together when Terra began talk his dream to be a Keyblade Master. Aqua says that he is not the only one. Terra, Aqua, and Ven all share the same dream.
    • Memorized - Ven is playing around with the Wooden Keyblade when he drops it. Someone else picks it up and calls him childish for playing with a toy sword he introduces himself as Lea and his friend as Isa. Lea then challenges Ven to a fight, but loses. They all become friends afterwards.
  • Disney Town/The Dream Festival
    • Enter Captain Justice - Ventus arrives in Disney Town and meets Captain Justice. They both then hear complaints about something and Captain Justice runs to 'help'.
    • Making Ice Cream - Ven then meets Huey, Dewey, and Louie who are complaining about not being able to work their ice cream machine. Captain Justice then hits the machine to make it work. Ven asks if he could try.
    • Who's Looking Out for Me? - Ven is able to get the machine to work, earning himself the votes of Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Ven then wishes that he had someone looking out for him.
    • The Million Dreams Award - Ventus, Terra, and Aqua all win the Million Dreams Award. But, only Ventus is there to receive the prize, a special ice cream flavor. Pete rushes on the stage and demands the prize. He is then banished during the ceremony. Ven then tastes the Double Crunch Ice Cream he was given.
    • Servant of Darkness - Pete is rescued by Maleficent, who claims to have use for him.
  • Olympus Coliseum/What Makes a Hero
    • Hero Hopefuls - Ven arrives at the Olympus Coliseum and meets someone named Phil. Two more people arrive, and one begs Phil to train him to be a hero. Soon Unversed appear and attack them.
    • Who to Train? - After the Unversed are defeat, Phil decides to watch both matches between the other two boys and decide who to train. Ven wants to enter as well but the last spot was just taken. Ven then decides to help one of the boys train, the boy then introduces himself as Hercules.
    • Phil Checks Up on Herc - While Ven and Hercules train, Ven spots Phil watching them.
    • Reasons - Ven asks Hercules why he wants to become a hero. Ven then tell Hercules that he is just trying to make friends. Hercules says that the are friends already. Phil explains the rules of the games.
    • An Important Match - Hercules thanks both Phil and Ven for helping him. Hercules then fights against the boy, Phil then interrupts the match because Unversed are attacking the town. Ven decides to take care of them himself, due to the match being too important.
    • To Save a Friend - Ven confront the Unversed, but there are too many. Hercules then shows up saying he cannot let his friend fight alone.
    • Future Heroes - Together Ven and Hercules defeat the Unversed. Soon the other boy shows up and they argue over who is the winner of the match even though both left. Phil arrives and say that he never said that he would coach the winner, just that he would watch the match then decide. He then chooses to train Hercules as he was the fastest to help Ven. The other boy then finally introduces himself as Zack. Zack says not to count him out as he still has his dreams to follow. Ven is happy he was able to make such good friends.
  • Deep Space/The Wayfinder
    • A Giant Unversed Closes In - While Ven is flying on his Keyblade glider he is attacked by a large flying Unversed.
    • The Unversed Stows Away - The giant Unversed flies into a ship that had been going by.
    • Experiment 626 Escapes - A large alien approaches a smaller alien that he had captured when the alarms go off about an intruder. The smaller alien the breaks out of the room.
    • A Friendly Creature - Ven is found by the larger alien as he is searching for the Unversed. When the large alien leaves, Ven runs into a smaller alien that knows not only his name, but Terra and Aqua's as well. The small alien then shows a Wayfinder made out of junk parts that he calls a friend circle. Ven runs off to fight the Unversed and tells the small alien to stay there.
    • The Broken "Circle" - The small alien is looking at his friend circle when he is shot at and it breaks. This saddens the alien at first then he starts growling at the large alien that shot it.
    • Friendly No More - Ven finds the large Unversed and is about to fight it when the small alien joins him.
    • More Than an Object - After the Unversed was defeated, the small alien is uncontrollable. Ven tries to calm him down but he is unable to and is thrown back. Soon he calms down and sadly shows Ven his broken Wayfinder. Ven says that friendship is more than an object. But the larger alien appears and insults the small alien called 626. Ven says that the two are friends and 626 then knocks the large alien down allowing the two to escape.
    • Hyperdrive - Ven escapes on his glider while 626 takes a red cruiser. They are being chased and shot at by a group of blue cruisers. 626 accidentally activates his cruisers hyperdrive. Ven is knocked off his glider.
  • Never Land/In Search of a Shooting Star
    • The "Star" Falls - Mickey lands in Never Land using the Star Shard and is seen by Tinker Bell.
    • Caught Unawares - While exploring Never Land, Mickey encounters Vanitas.
    • The Hunt Begins - Ven awakens to the sight of someone about to kick him and barely rolls out of the way. He hears about a shooting star from the lost boys and asks to join them.
    • Pirate Treasure Is Way More Fun - He follows them and meets Peter Pan, who tells them about pirate treasure and the lost boys decide to go with Peter. Ven decides to stay with Tink and find the shooting star.
    • Tinker Bell Is Pixie-napped - Ven and Tink find the star in the Indian Camp. He then recognizes the it as the Star Shard that belongs to Mickey. Captain Hook then appears, takes both Tinker Bell and the Star Shard to Mermaid Lagoon. Ven then gets attacked by Unversed
    • A Familiar Twinkle - Ven loses them, when he sees a familiar twinkle.
    • Flashback: The Last Night - Ven thinks back to the last night he, Terra, and Aqua spent together.
    • To Mermaid Lagoon! - Ven runs into Peter and tells that Tinker Bell was pixie-napped by Hook. The two then team up to hunt Captain Hook down.
    • The Long Tom - Smee starts shooting cannons at Peter and Ven from the ship. Tink then shows up and tries to explain what happened when they are distracted by more cannon fire. Ven goes after Hook alone.
    • The Jaws of Danger? - Ven confronts Hook in battle at Mermaid Lagoon.
    • Keepsakes - After Ven defeats Hook Cubby, Slightly, and Peter return with the pirate treasure. The boys decide to put their own treasures in the chest instead, Ven leaves his cherished Wooden Keyblade in the chest. He stops Tink from putting the Star Shard in the chest. He is then teleported out of Never Land by the Star Shard.
  • A Forgotten Past
    • Two Very Worried Friends - Ven lands at the Mysterious Tower with with the Star Shard. Donald and Goofy, who were sitting on the stairs, mistake him for King Mickey. The two then take Ven to Yen Sid.
    • Finding Mickey - Ven meets Yen Sid and explains how he ended up with the Star Shard. Yen Sid locates Mickey who is shown to be injured and weak. Ven then volunteers to bring Mickey back safe to the Tower.
    • Former Master - Ven lands at the Badlands to find Mickey and rescue, only to run into Master Xehanort. He then has visions of himself and Master Xehanort realizing what he had lost at the hands of Xehanort. Xehanort then commands Ven to fight Vanitas to forge the ultimate key, the χ-blade.
    • Seeking the Truth - Ven is floating in the Lanes Between conflicted about what Master Eraqus was hiding from him.
    • Homecoming - Ven returns to the Land of Departure to confront Eraqus, who touches the scar on his face. The scene then fades to white.
    • Flashback: The Keyblade Masters - Master Eraqus talks with Master Xehanort about his obsession with finding the χ-blade. Master Xehanort then proceeds to tell him about his plans to explore the legend of the Keyblade War. Eraqus tries to stop him but is defeated and has his face scarred by Xehanort.
    • Master & Pupil Trade Blows - Eraqus then tries to destroy Ven when Terra appears and saves him. Eraqus then begins to fight Terra, who sends Ven to the Lanes Between in his desperation to keep him safe.
    • "I'm not fighting." - Ventus lands on the Destiny Islands, and encounters Vanitas, who commands the boy to join with him to complete the χ-blade.
    • Flashback: Vanitas's Making - Ven remembers the day Vanitas was created, and how he lost part of his heart due to Master Xehanort wanting him to create the χ-blade.
    • A Reason to Fight - Vanitas then states that he will make Ven fight and tells him to go to the Keyblade Graveyard. There Vanitas says, that Ven will see him choke the lives out of Terra and Aqua. Ven, thinking about his friends, follows Vanitas.
  • The Keyblade Graveyard/Hearts Rejoined
    • Friends Forever - Ven arrives at the Keyblade Graveyard and grasps his Keyblade saying they will be "friends forever".
    • Gathering - Terra, Ventus, and Aqua prepare for the final battle with Xehanort and Vanitas.
    • Kingdom Hearts - Terra, Aqua, and Ven engage in battle against Master Xehanort, and Vanitas seemingly outmatched. Master Xehanort summons a blue moon in the sky. Mickey appears shortly after. Braig then appears and tells Aqua and Ven Master Xehanort's plans for Terra. Aqua battles Braig and defeats him, only to be struck down by Vanitas who attempts to destroy her heart. Ven regains his movement after being frozen and fights him to protect Aqua.
  • The χ-blade's Forging - After he is defeated the first time, Vanitas reveals not only his face to Ven, but that he is the source of all Unversed. He then transports them both to a Dive to the Heart.
    • Unfinished Union - Ven awakens on a Dive to the Heart pillar that features both himself and Vanitas. Vanitas then floats down wielding the incomplete χ-blade stating their union was not complete and that Ven should join with him so that it may be complete. Ven says he will destroy them both but, Vanitas says that he will destroy himself as well. Ven says it doesn't matter as long as he can save his friends.
    • The Fractured Heart's Return - Ven finally defeats Vanitas in battle, destroying both him and the χ-blade. He then lands on his finished Dive to the Heart pillar regaining the part of his heart that was lost. His body then bursts into light and his heart floats away
    • Sleep Well, Heart - Ven and Aqua, both in their armor, float in the Lanes Between when Mickey comes and rescues them. The scene changes to Ven falling, reminiscent to the beginning of the game and says that the warmth of the light is from the young heart he had joined with. The credits then begin to roll.

Aqua[]

  • The Outside World
    • The Boy Who Sought the World - A young man stands on a beach, claiming his "world is too small". Many years later the same man, though much older returns to the island, dressed in a Black Coat carrying the body of a young boy wrapped in a white cover under his arm.
    • A Voice Amidst the Waves - The man places the body of Ventus on the Paopu tree. Within his heart the boy wonders where he is when a light flashes.
    • Heart to Heart - Ventus falls and lands on his Dive to the Heart though it is blank and fractured. His heart then comes into contact with a new heart which completes his Dive to the Heart pillar.
    • Birth by Sleep - As Master Xehanort prepares to leave he notices Ven's arm is raised in the air and a Keyblade appears which glows and shoots a light in the air.
  • The Land of Departure/Three Pupils
    • The Meteor Shower - Ven is laying on his bed in his room when he notices a meteor shower happening and rushes out to see it.
    • Wayfinder - Ven is laying to the ground watching the meteor shower when Aqua surprises him. Aqua presents Terra and Ven the Wayfinders she made, saying that they are good luck charms. Explaining that they represent the unbreakable bond between them.
    • The Last Night - The three head back to the castle, Aqua says to herself, they will be "together... always" while looking up at the night sky. That was the last night they were together beneath the same stars.
    • The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Mickey Mouse is shown in the middle of an ocean on a book, which is then swallowed up in a whirlpool. He lands in Yen Sid's study and is warned something bad is afoot.
    • Mark of Mastery - Terra and Aqua are to begin the Mark of Mastery Exam. Ven is looking around and sees Master Xehanort and seems uncomfortable to see him. Master Eraqus explains the exam and what it is for. When the exam begins Master Eraqus creates orbs of light but Master Xehanort tampers with them and they act on their own. Terra and Aqua begin to destroy them when a rogue orb goes after Ven. Ven then helps Terra and Aqua destroy the orbs together.
    • Eraqus Announces the Results - Aqua and Terra fight against each other, but Terra has trouble controlling his darkness. The exam ends with only Aqua gaining the title of Master. Terra wishing to be alone leaves. Aqua stays behind as instructed, until they were interrupted by Master Yen Sid.
    • The Unversed Threat - Master Eraqus receives a message for his old friend Yen Sid telling him that the Princesses of Heart are in danger by the darkness as well as a new threat that feeds on negativity called the Unversed. He then send Terra and Aqua to stop this new threat and locate Master Xehanort. He also gives Terra the chance to prove that he has what it takes to be a Master. Eraqus also requests that Aqua keep an eye on Terra and to make sure he does not fall prey to the darkness. Ven is not present during this.
    • Departure - Aqua witnesses Terra's departure and unsuccessfully tries to stop Ven from following him. Master Eraqus then orders her to bring Ven back to the Land of Departure.
  • Castle of Dreams/The Glass Slipper
    • Reunion with Terra - Aqua arrives in a new world, where she quickly runs into Terra. Terra tells her what he knows about Master Xehanort's intentions, and Aqua decides to stay behind to search for clues. Terra talks about believing in dreams with Aqua and this lighter side of Terra comforts Aqua.
    • Something Very Wrong - Aqua is passed by three women, who she senses harbor immense darkness. She then meets the Prince and learns of his quest to find a young girl who he wishes to marry. Aqua sets off to see Lady Tremaine.
    • A Lesson from the Fairy Godmother - Aqua arrives at the house, but she is stopped by Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. The Fairy Godmother tells Aqua about the Tremaine lady's jealously and advises her to help am mouse named Jaq instead.
    • The Magic Words - The Fairy Godmother transports Aqua into the Tremaine house.
    • Mouse and Key - Aqua meets the mouse Jaq who is trying to set Cinderella free. She learns that Jaq has met Ventus and he is searching for Terra. Suddenly, Jaq is attacked by Unversed and Aqua rushes to his aid.
    • Get That Key to Cinderella - Jaq is able to escape.
    • A Perfect Fit - Aqua watches as the Grand Duke decides to leave the house. Aqua, who is suddenly returned to her normal size, tries to try on the slipper to gain more time for Cinderella. Cinderella is set free, but the Duke slips and breaks the slipper. Cinderella reveals that she possesses the other glass slipper, which proves she is the Prince’s mystery girl. Lady Tremaine vows revenge on Cinderella.
    • The Grand Duke Runs for Help - Aqua hears screaming and the Grand Duke informs her that Cinderella has been attacked by a large monster.
    • Overtaken by Darkness - Aqua arrives to see an Unversed, created by the hatred of Lady Tremaine and her daughters, about the kill Cinderella. Aqua manages to protect her and the Tremaine ladies are blasted away by a backfiring bomb. Aqua helps Cinderella escape and sets forth to defeat the Unversed.
    • A Pure Heart Filled with Light - Cinderella is reunited with the Prince and Aqua discusses light, darkness and dreams with the Fairy Godmother.
  • Dwarf Woodlands/The Waking Journey
    • The Witch and the Apple - The Queen gives Snow White the poisoned apple and she falls into a deep sleep.
    • Seven Sad Dwarfs - When Aqua arrives in the Dwarf Woodlands, she comes across the Seven Dwarfs standing around a glass coffin holding Snow White's body. They tell her what happened to Snow White, Aqua then offers to find a way to help her.
    • The Prince's Resolve - Aqua runs into the Prince and tells him what happened to Snow White. He then runs off to where Snow White is, believing that there may be a way for him to help her.
    • Presence within the Mirror - Aqua arrives at the castle and approaches the Mirror. Her reflection dissolves and the face of the Mirror appears, to her shock. She is then sucked into the Mirror.
    • The Trail Goes Cold - After Aqua defeats the Mirror, he tells that the Queen is gone and disappears.
    • Love's First Kiss - The Prince kisses Snow White and she miraculously wakes up to everyone's surprised and joy.
    • Flashback: Ventus Wakes Up - Aqua thinks back when Ven was in a deep sleep and would not wake up. Then one day he miraculously awakens. She excitedly calls for Master Eraqus and Terra.
    • The Happy Send-off - Snow White kisses all the Dwarfs on the head and leaves with the Prince. Aqua realizes that Ven left because it was his time.
  • Enchanted Dominion/Dark Footsteps
    • Forbidden Mountain - Aqua lands in a new world where she sees a bright light shoot past her. She decides to investigate further and heads towards the castle in the distance.
    • Reunion with Ventus - Aqua arrives to find Ven fighting with a strange woman. Aqua tells Ventus that the woman - who is saying Terra has succumbed to his darkness - is lying. Aqua tries to convince Ventus to return home, but he runs off. Before Aqua can pursue him, the woman stops her and, after Aqua refuses to join her, she locks Aqua in a dungeon.
    • The Captive Prince - In the dungeon, Aqua meets a captive Prince who was locked away to prevent Maleficent's curse being broken. Three fairies appear and set Aqua and the Prince free.
    • Ambushed - While trying to escape, Aqua and Prince Phillip are spotted and attacked.
    • A Castle Wrapped in Thorns - Maleficent watches from above as Aqua and the Prince escape. She wraps the castle in thorns to prevent them from entering and confronts them. After a heated argument with Aqua, Maleficent transforms into a terrifying dragon and attacks the Keyblade warrior and Prince Phillip.
    • The Sword of Truth Finds Its Mark - The three fairies enchant the Princes sword. Prince Phillip plunges his weapon into Maleficent’s chest and she disappears into darkness.
    • True Love - Prince Phillip rushes to the castle while Aqua addresses the wounded Maleficent. The Prince finds Princess Aurora and kisses her, awaking her and breaking the spell. Maleficent vows that darkness will prevail and disappears.
  • Radiant Garden/A Sign of Light
    • In Search of Terra - Aqua, while on her Keyblade Glider, spots Terra. Wondering where he is going she decides to follow him.
    • A Well-Mannered Lass - When Aqua lands in the Radiant Garden, she sees someone walking around and questions him about Terra's whereabouts.
    • Kairi - Aqua comes across a young girl being attacked by a group of Unversed. Someone then appears to help her get the little girl to safety. After taking the girl away she returns to help fight the Unversed.
    • Magic to Keep Kairi Safe - After the Unversed are defeated Aqua is introduced to both Mickey and Kairi. Aqua puts a spell on Kairi's necklace so that she will be safe. Kairi then leaves with her Grandma and asks her to tell her the story of light and darkness. Aqua then sees a Giant Unversed flying by.
    • Stop the Giant Unversed - Aqua runs into the courtyard and sees a door that was destroyed, caused by the giant Unversed.
    • Brought Together - Terra, Aqua, and Ventus reunite, but their reunion is short-lived as they must battle a giant Unversed.
    • Walls of the Heart - - Aqua, Terra, and Ventus defeat the Unversed, but the ensuing argument forces them to go their separate ways.
    • A Curious Book - Aqua runs Merlin the Wizard, who mentions the book to unlock her innermost abilities is the house.
    • The Boy in the Mask Appears - Aqua sees Vanitas, who questions her about Ventus, a battle ensues shortly after.
    • A Reluctant Farewell - Aqua defeats Vanitas, who unleashes a maniacal laugh, then leaves. Ven then appears and tells her Terra is gone. She then leaves to find him and tells Ven to go home.
  • Disney Town/The Dream Festival
    • Captain Useless - Aqua arrives at Disney Town and immediately encounters Captain Justice, who she promptly ignores. They both then hear a call for help and Aqua choose to help after Captain Justice refuses.
    • Aqua is Number One - After Aqua defeats the Unversed, she meets Queen Minnie and receives Horace's vote.
    • The Million Dreams Award - Aqua, Terra, and Ventus all win the Million Dreams Award. But, only Aqua is there to receive the prize, a special ice cream flavor. Pete rushes on the stage and demands the prize. He is then banished during the ceremony. Aqua then tastes the Royalberry Ice Cream she was given.
    • Servant of Darkness - Pete is rescued by Maleficent, who claims to have use for him.
  • Olympus Coliseum/The Road Heroes Tread
    • "Herc, they're all yours!" - Aqua lands at the Olympus Coliseum, and is attacked by Unversed. Soon someone attempts to save her, only to run away and call for some help from someone else.
    • Terra the Champ - Aqua meets Phil and Hercules and she has a conversation about what it takes to be a hero, when Herc mentions Terra to Aqua's surprise. She is told that he is bound to show up sometime, so she is decides to sign up for the games.
    • A Life Terra Saved - Aqua meets Zack, her opponent in the finals. He excitedly states that once he beats her, he will be able to fight against Terra. Phil explains more about the games and how they work. Zack explains that Terra had saved his life when he was possessed by Hades.
    • Friendship Between Boys - Zack and Aqua prepared to face each other in the finals. Aqua comments on the friendship between boys and how makes her a little jealous.
    • Bluebird - After Aqua defeats Zack, Hades appears and insults Aqua. They argue about Terra, and Hades explains that Terra came to him to learn how to use the darkness. He then offers to help Aqua use the darkness she vehemently refuses. He then states that he gets to destroy her in battle, he disappears afterwards.
    • Hades' Backup - While waiting for the next match, Hades calls upon a large ice monster to help him fight Aqua. Zack tries to back Aqua up, but she firmly states that she will win the fight on her own.
    • The "Snow Cone" Gets Licked - Aqua defeats the Ice Colossus and Hades, angered by his loss, leaves.
    • Advice for a Hero -Zack congratulates Aqua on her victory in the Coliseum games and asks her on a date. Startled, Aqua kindly declines, so Zack vows to become a hero so he is good enough for her. Hercules arrives and when he worries about his desire to become a hero, Aqua tells him that he has strength in his heart and if he keeps fighting, he'll be a hero in the end.
  • Deep Space/Signs of a Heart -
    • Teeming with Trouble - Aqua arrives in a spaceship and is suddenly attacked by a swarm of Unversed.
    • A Wayfinder? - Aqua finds a makeshift Wayfinder, which is claimed by a strange blue creature. A large alien arrives and scares the creature, apparently named Experiment 626, away. The alien is searching for 626 and he apprehends Aqua, thinking she is a stow away.
    • The Grand Councilwoman - Aqua is taken to see the Grand Councilwoman, who asks for help in defeating the Unversed and capturing Experiment 626 and its creator. Aqua agrees to capture the fugitives, much to Gantu's frustration.
    • Experiment 626's Search - Aqua finds 626 and saves him from an Unversed attack. She is surprised to learn that 626 knows Terra, but before she can investigate any further, the Unversed strike again.
    • A Friend of Terra's? - Experiment 626 reveals that he is searching for Terra and he runs off once more.
    • Space Find - While flying in space, Aqua finds 626’s Wayfinder floating around.
    • The Final Directive - Aqua talks to the Grand Councilwoman, confused by why 626 is to be caught. She reluctantly agrees to see if she can capture the strange creature.
    • Gantu's Rage - Aqua finds 626 fighting with Dr. Jumba. She confronts them both and discovers that Experiment 626 made a copy of Terra's Wayfinder, after Terra told him that it was a very important gift from a friend. Suddenly, Gantu arrives and attacks Experiment 626 and his creator. Aqua intervenes and challenges Gantu in order to protect 626 and Jumba.
    • A New Circle - The fighting is interrupted by the Grand Councilwoman who thanks Aqua and orders 626's banishment. Aqua begs for Experiment 626 to be released and the Grand Councilwoman agrees that if he can behave, he will be protected. Aqua invites 626 to join her circle of friends, an offer he happily accepts.
  • Never Land/The Expatition
    • The Treasure Map - Once Aqua lands in Never Land she comes across a treasure and unknowingly becomes the leader of a treasure hunt. She meets Peter Pan, Cubby, and Slightly. She refuses at first but, then accepts after hearing that the hunt would be cancelled.
    • Enter Captain Hook - While on the treasure hunt, Aqua and co. are confronted by Captain Hook, who orders his partner Smee to fire cannons at them.
    • A Tricky Ascent - Aqua and co. follow the map and get to a point they couldn't normally reach. Tinker Bell then uses her pixie dust to allow them to fly. Aqua questions Peter's leadership of the two boys.
    • Hook's Ambush - Aqua, Peter, and the lost boys end up back where they started, but didn't find any treasure. Peter says they had to conquer many obstacles and that it wasn't for nothing. Hook appears with the treasure, but finds only toy weapons. Aqua finds Ven's wooden Keyblade, but then senses someone else around and goes to find them.
    • Vanitas Returns - Aqua runs into Vanitas at the Indian Camp. He says that Ven has outgrown the wooden Keyblade and snaps it in half, to Aqua's horror. She then challenges him to a fight.
    • A Hard-Won Victory - After Aqua defeats Vanitas, she believes she defeated him for good. She then passes out from exhaustion.
    • Flashback: The Last Night - Aqua remembers the last time she, Terra, and Ven were together at the Land of Departure.
    • Some Things Can't Be Broken - She awakens to the voice of Peter Pan. Aqua says that whatever it is that binds them together won't break so easily, and that is their treasure.
  • Two Boys
    • The Warmth of Light - Aqua, on her Keyblade Glider, follows the light.
    • Sora and Riku - Aqua sees the tree with Paopu fruit and looks at her Wayfinder, thinking about Terra and Ven. She then meets two boys, named Sora and Riku. She then asks Sora to stay with and keep Riku safe if he ever walks down a dark path alone.
  • Questions to Be Answered
    • Mickey in the Lanes Between - While traveling through the Lanes Between Aqua comes across Mickey. He says the name Master Yen Sid and Aqua promises to take Mickey to him.
    • Grave News - Aqua arrives at the Mysterious Tower, only to learn that Master Eraqus has been struck down. He then says that Master Xehanort and Terra are the ones responsible. Yen Sid tells her Terra is at the Keyblade Graveyard and to be careful.
    • Unwavering Friendship - Aqua leaves the Tower and hopes that Ven and Terra are safe, also that she will find a way to "get them out of this".
  • The Keyblade Graveyard/Unbreakable Ties
    • Always One - Aqua arrives at the Keyblade Graveyard and grasps her Keyblade saying that the three of them "will always be one".
    • Gathering - Terra, Ventus, and Aqua prepare for the final battle with Xehanort and Vanitas.
    • Kingdom Hearts - Terra, Aqua, and Ven engage in battle against Master Xehanort, and Vanitas seemingly outmatched. Master Xehanort summons a blue moon in the sky. Mickey appears shortly after. Ven and Aqua are confronted by Braig. Braig stating that Master Xehanort's plans are to make Terra succumb to the darkness, angering Aqua who rushes towards him.
    • Ventus-Vanitas - After Aqua defeats Braig, Vanitas strikes Aqua down. She then wakes with Mickey standing next to her and no sign of Ven. She rushes to Ven but his heart was taken over by Vanitas and he attack her with the completed χ-blade. She and Mickey then engage in battle against Vanitas.
    • The χ-blade Goes Berserk - Aqua takes out her Wayfinder and wishes Terra and Ven to lend her their power. Her Keyblade then glows and she rushes at Ventus-Vanitas and destroys the χ-blade which then goes berserk. Aqua, Ven, and Mickey disappear in a flash of light released by the χ-blade.
    • Three Lights - Aqua awakens at the Mysterious Tower, in Yen Sid's study. He proceeds to tell her how she and Ven got there and how there was no sign of Terra. She finds out that Ven's heart is sleeping and will not wake until it returns. Yen Sid tells her Ven does not need protection, but a friend that believes in him. Aqua says she knows how to find Terra. The credits then begin to roll.
  • Final Episode
    • Ventus's Guidance - Aqua states that Ven needs a safe place to stay. She is surprised when Ven summons his Keyblade and opens a corridor.
    • Home Is Where the Hurt Is - The corridor leads to the Land of Departure. Aqua is shocked and saddened to see her home is destroyed. She then finds Master Eraqus's Keyblade.
    • Castle Oblivion - Aqua remembers what Eraqus told her if anything were to happen to him to lock the world away. Using his Keyblade she begins the process of changing the world into one that only she knows.
    • The Chamber of Waking - When Aqua finishes the world is transformed and Ven is sitting in a chamber. She apologizes, for it will be lonely for Ven, but safe.
    • Terra's Guidance - Aqua then leaves the Castle to find Terra.
    • "Return my friend's hearts!" - Aqua is led to the Radiant Garden where she finds a man that looks like Terra, who then tries to strangle her. The man then says that Terra's heart was extinguished by the darkness within him and strikes at her. Aqua, for the first time refers to herself as Master Aqua, commands the man to give back her friends heart.
    • The Heart That Fought Back - Aqua defeats Terra-Xehanort, when Terra's heart begins to fight back. Terra then stabs himself with his Keyblade and sinks in to the darkness, Aqua jumps in after him.
    • With You - Aqua, trying to save Terra, sacrifices her armor and Keyblade and traps her in the Realm of Darkness. She promises Ven she will be there to wake him up.
  • Where the Heart Goes - Sora and Riku are shown looking up at the stars when they begin to go home, Riku notices something wrong with Sora. He's crying and feels very sad, but doesn't know why. Riku says that someone must be very sad and is waiting for Sora to reach out and help them. Sora doesn't understand, but tries anyway. Sora's heart then calls out to Ven's. The scene changes to Radiant Garden where Braig is leading Ansem the Wise and Dilan to a young man that remembers nothing, save for his name... Xehanort. Aqua's armor and Keyblade are brought as well. The scene changes again, to Aqua who is shown wandering through the Realm of Darkness wielding Master Eraqus's Keyblade. She is soon surrounded by Darkside Heartless and almost gives up, when she is saved by Ven and Terra's Keyblades. She remembers all the friends she made on her journey and with her resolve strengthened, she says there is always a way. The end credits begin to roll and "Simple and Clean" plays. After the credits end, Sora appears on his own Dive to the Heart pillar and reaches out to Ven's heart, allowing Ven to stay within his heart until he is ready.

Re:coded[]

  • Opening - Jiminy Cricket is saying that he was glad to write down the story of the two stories of Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy's journeys. He then sees that the first book is now empty with only one line in it 'Thank Namine'. He is now wondering who wrote this so runs to Mickey Mouse, the King. He says that the should find out about this and that the words Jiminy wrote are gone the journal isn't empty. Then he calls Chip, Dale, Donald and Goofy to talk about this. Chip and Dale build a machine to analyse the journal data inside. Unfortunately the journal is bugged so Mickey decides to get someone from inside the journal to get rid of them. The scene changes to Data-Sora floating in a cylinder like dark building.
  • Unaccountable Accounts - Sora is clinging on to a piece of wood while the Darkside floats up into the tornado that is ripping the island apart. Sora can't hold on any longer and is sucked into the tornado. Back in Disney Castle everyone worries if Sora is okay. Then a new journal entry appears- 'there are more hurts then the one we have just undone'. After a mysterious video appears of Riku walking on an island surrounded by darkness. A figure in a brown cloak appears behind him and then Riku smiles. A Door to Darkness appears behind Riku. The video ends and then the Disney group realise that the journal is showing them stuff that wasn't written in it. Afterwards an alarm beeps and Chip says that we've found Sora. Everyone cheers.
  • Under Mouse Arrest - Sora is in Traverse Town and thinks that the guy in the black coat is behind everything. Back in Disney Castle they receive a new message and Mickey says that every time Sora debugs a world, they get a new entry. They find out that Sora is in the next world and they get a video of the time Donald, Goofy and Sora meet but with an added part. They see Pluto going through a Door to Darkness. Heartless appear behind them and then Mickey gets rid of them with his Keyblade. Everyone is alarmed and then try to get out to check on the castle but they appear to be trapped. They then decide to retrieve the journal.
  • Beneath the Hood - In Disney Castle the party hear banging on the door. Data-Sora bursts in and the Disney party asks how he got in. Data-Sora replied that he was just following that guy in the hood. They see a video of them on the monitor and see the hooded man next to them. They find out it is Data-Riku. He explained who he was and explains that the journal sent Riku from the pages to put all the memories in him. He then tells them that they are all in the datascape and then on the screen they see Chip and Dale who are calling them. They explain. Alarms go off suddenly and then they find out a hacker is trying to get in. The link to go back to the real world was broken and the only way to go back is to get rid of the bugs. Sora volunteers to get rid of the bugs.
  • A Shady Character - Sora is talking to the Disney party (which Data-Riku was added) and then Donald realises that they didn't get a video. Riku explains that when Sora debugs a world, they unlock Riku's memories which made a link from there to appear on their monitor. They see Pete next to Sora and asks him how he got in the Datascape. He says that he came in the same way they did and to conquer the world and claims it his. They say that they must do something and then Sora follows him.
  • Maleficent's Designs - In the Datascape Sora is knocked back by Meleficent. She then summons Heartless and sends them to destroy everything so she can have the world. Riku and Mickey save Sora and they ask her how she got in. Pete comes and explains that he was sneaking on Meleficent's orders and saw Mickey and the group getting blinded by a light. They all went into the datascape. Pete was teleported into a bizarre place and calls Meleficent. They agree that it seemed to be a copy of the worlds. They then decided to take it over.
  • What Friends Are For - Sora appears inside Data-Riku to see him covered in bugs. Donald, Goofy and Mickey come. They say that he might not wake up if the bugs don't go. Sora says that he'll go to save Riku will go inside him to get rid of the bugs. Everyone says what a good friend he is and that he won't be alone as his friends are in his heart. Sora enters Riku's Datascape.
  • One Last Mystery - Sora takes Mickey's hand in friendship. Mickey then leaves him to go to his world. Sora uses his keyblade and locks the portal. Inside the real world, everyone welcomes Mickey back. On the monitor they see a picture of Sora and the words 'Thanks Guys'. They think that they never did find out the meaning of the message. Suddenly Riku comes up on the screen and says that a new world appeared. They say that they must check the world out but Riku says that Sora must know whats happening. Mickey asks Riku if he can get him in the datascape one more time. The scene move to Data-Sora being licked awake by Pluto like in the real world before. He sees Mickey who says that his journey started here and that its time for the truth.
  • A Sad Memory - Data-Riku is looking outside the window. The picture is fuzzy. Kairi is then seen behind like in real life before.
  • Ending - Namine explains about his memories. She says that his memories are still connected and that he's met two of them. The third they spend a very special connection. They are talking about Aqua, Ventus and Terra. She says that when they wake the only one that could save them is Sora. Mickey says that he will tell the real Sora. Sora says to Namine that did she keep her promise. She says that she is just data and that she will go but when Sora passes his message on she'll be at rest. Then Sora says that he has a message for her. He says thank you. Mickey, in the real world, is seen writing. He is writing to Sora about the truth behind the keyblade has found its way through so many people. Sora is him because of the way he is but people are hurting and that he has to save them. The door to his next journey is ready to be opened. Sora is seen reading the note along with Riku and Kairi. In the end the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded title screen appears.
  • Signs of What's Next - Mickey Mouse and Yen Sid are talking about Xehanort. Yen Sid discusses Xehanort's return, since his Heartless and Nobody have been destroyed in the correct order. Mickey then proclaims that he will defeat him again, with Sora and Riku's help, but Yen Sid says that they are not true Keyblade Masters. Yen Sid commands Mickey to call Sora and Riku for a Mark of Mastery exam.
