Template documentation[view · edit · purge · links]

Template:Quote is used for formatting pull quotes.

Quotes can be a great way to convey certain points as stated by characters themselves. However, they should only be used if the quote is substantially representative of the subject at hand, or accurately and succinctly embodies a certain aspect of a topic that's best conveyed by in-game dialogue.

Avoid quote stuffing, or adding quotes to the article just because said quote mentions the topic at hand. A casual relationship between a quote and the article does not justify the use of this template. Not every article needs a quote. A mistake that new editors commonly make is adding quotes en mass because they're quick and easy ways to make substantial, multiple edits. Use this template judiciously; only when the context calls for it.
