Template:Game Template:World Symphony of Sorcery (シンフォニー・オブ・ソーサリー Shinfonī Obu Sōsarī?) is a world from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, the second to be based on Disney's 1940 feature film, Fantasia.

Like Timeless River and Country of the Musketeers, Symphony of Sorcery will be set in the past, during a period where Mickey was in pursuit of knowledge to become a Keyblade Master.

Development

Since the conception of the first Kingdom Hearts, Tetsuya Nomura had wanted to include a world based on Fantasia, but was unable to and ended up only including Chernabog as a boss in End of the World, though in a battlefield very similar to the Night on Bald Mountain segment.[1]

Story

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Several images show that it is based on the events of multiple symphonies from Fantasia.

The world was first announced in a January issue of Famitsu. Several locations based off symphonies from Fantasia, were shown in January issues. Mickey Mouse is shown wearing his attire from The Sorcerer's Apprentice symphony and working magic on the brooms inside the Mysterious Tower and demonstrating a beautiful performance of his mastery over magic on top of a mountain platform. Riku is in front of a book that goes a symphony, and shown facing Chernabog in a location based on the Night on Bald Mountain symphony. Sora is seen confronting the Unknown in what appears to be an area based off the Rite of Spring symphony. Other screencaps show landscapes resembling both the Pastoral Symphony and the Nutcracker Suite symphonies.
