Template:Game Template:InfoKeyKHII The Sleeping Lion (スリーピングライオン Surīpingu Raion?) is a Keyblade given to Sora by Leon before the second trip into Space Paranoids in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. It is also one of the types of Keyblades left at the Keyblade Graveyard.
Design
The blade and hilt bear a resemblance to the Gunblade wielded by Squall Leonhart in Final Fantasy VIII. The tip and token are lion-heads, reminiscent of the Griever, also from Final Fantasy VIII. It is gray from the shaft to the tip. The guard is onyx black. The teeth of the Keyblade is a single, blunt point with concave sides.
Birth by Sleep features the Sleeping Lion in the Keyblade Graveyard. These ones have a blue guard to the shaft, the handle being red. This is like because the Keyblade lost its power and has rusted over a long period of time.
Gameplay
The Sleeping Lion has a Strength stat boost of +5, making it a powerful Keyblade. If one prefers ground combat, and is using a Drive Form (other than Wisdom), it is best used in conjunction with the Decisive Pumpkin, a Keyblade that increases the strength of ground combos, and the Sleeping Lion's innate ability, Combo Plus, increases the amount of strikes in a combo - therefore dramatically increasing the power of ground combos.

Sleeping Lion is one of the Keyblades packaged with the Series 1 Play Arts Figures Final Form figure.
