Terra-Xehanort using Quake against Aqua in Radiant Garden

Quake (クエイク, Kueiku^?) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It allows the user to generate a small earthquake that also kicks up pillars of rock.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Quake is an Ultimate Attack Command that takes up two slots in the Command Deck, has a maximum level of 5, a normal reload time of 20 seconds, and fills the Command Gauge by 30%.

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Quake takes up 15% of memory.

• Terra can create Quake through Command Melding.
• Terra can purchase Quake from the Moogle Shop for 2500 munny once the command has already been obtained elsewhere.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Quake is a Ultimate-class Magic Command that can be melded through five different recipes, listed in the Giga Magic Recipe.

• The first recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a Template:Meldtype recipe that has a 30% chance of transforming from Geo Impact.
  • Brutal Blast (LV4) + Brutal Blast (LV4)
• The second recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a Template:Meldtype recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Meteor.
  • Brutal Blast (LV4) + Magnega (LV4)
• The third recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a Template:Meldtype recipe that has a 30% chance of transforming from Brutal Blast.
  • Mine Square (LV3) + Binding Strike (LV3)
• The fourth recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a Template:Meldtype recipe that has a 30% chance of transforming from Brutal Blast.
  • Stun Edge (LV3) + Mine Shield (LV3)
• The fifth recipe can only be melded by Terra, and is a Template:Meldtype recipe that has a 10% chance of transforming into Meteor.
  • Zero Graviga (LV4) + Brutal Blast (LV4)

Other appearances

Terra-Xehanort can also use Quake, as he is an extension of Terra. He can also use a variation that generates two earthquakes consecutively.

Origin

Quake is a recurring Black Magic spell in the Final Fantasy series. It usually deals earth-elemental damage to one or all opponents, and may not affect flying enemies, depending on the game.
