This is the second visit walkthrough for Port Royal as featured in Kingdom Hearts II, as well as its Final Mix version. After landing, Sora and his friends noticed a commotion coming from the Harbor, and decided to investigate.
Completing the world for a second time also grants you the bronze trophy and achievement Lifting the Curse in the 2.5 ReMIX version.
Walkthrough[]
Head to the Harbor where you must fight three Undead Pirates. As you, and your magic, are now substantially stronger you will be able to eliminate them much more easily. After the subsequent cutscenes go and use the Black Pearl to head to Isla de Muerta, and after another cutscene, exit the Stateroom to encounter Luxord, who will summon a Grim Reaper Heartless. The Reaper can be defeated effortlessly, concluding with the Summon Boost or Horizontal Slash abilities as a reward (for respectively the original and Final Mix versions).
After another cutscene you will end up at the Ship Graveyard, where you can open a large chest to acquire the Feather Charm, granting you the Peter Pan Summon. Peter Pan will fly alongside Sora and attack enemies, while Tinker Bell heals you, and also revives you if Sora perishes. Follow the linear path, opening the second chest in Seadrift Row for the King Recipe, and enter Seadrift Keep where you will encounter a Gambler; one of the Nobodies that has stolen a medallion. Gamblers are easily defeated in melee, but do have two Reaction Commands (Stop Dice and Begin Game) that can be used to gain munny and items, but failure results in Sora turning temporarily into a card or a dice.
Defeat the Gambler, and after another series of cutscenes, explore Isla de Muerta and the Ship Graveyard for the other three. Their location is not fixed, but they are almost guaranteed to appear upon entering an area. Make sure to defeat them quickly lest they flee when the time limit expires, and do not forget to pick up their dropped medallion. After all four are acquired you can head directly to Port Royal to fight Luxord's Grim Reaper and take back the stolen chest. Make sure to have Donald in your party, alongside Donald Thunder and Blizzard, and the assorted Boost abilities. Similarly Jack Sparrow's Bone Smash is also helpful. Lastly, equip Draw and MP-related abilities.
Grim Reaper bossfight[]

The Grim Reaper bossfight.
The Grim Reaper is not a difficult boss, much like before, but does feature a troublesome mechanic involving the chest and its medallions. When the chest is not completely filled (all 882 coins) the Reaper will turn into its undead form and become invincible to all forms of damage. Magic is the only exception, however it cannot hurt it; only affect it elementally, and force it to drop any medallions it is holding. Physical attacks do make it drop MP orbs, which is helpful when you are out of MP or Ethers.
While undead, the Reaper can use its scythe in melee, warp away, form a tornado that also repels magic, and suck up coins from the chest. When using the latter move it can be repelled with the Hinder and Loot Launch reactions, the latter being used to counter its own counter-attack. In return, use Blizzara (to freeze it) and Thundara (for more damage), then return all of the dropped medallions to the chest to return it to its normal form, from where you can attack it with the Keyblade. In its normal form it is barely a threat, although it is not harmless.
After it loses 30% of its HP it will instantly suck up 256 coins, which then must be forcefully removed again. When it only has 30% HP left it will suck up all coins at once, forcing you to beat them out of it over time, after which you can finally defeat it. Victory grants you another Magnet Element, and thus the Magnera spell, while Donald gains the Flare Force Limit.
After defeating the boss the next three locations to visit, in order of battle level, are Olympus Coliseum (walktrough), Agrabah (walktrough), or Halloween Town (walktrough), as well as complete the fourth episode in Atlantica (walktrough) now that you have Magnera.
