Pooh's Muddy Path gameplay

Gameplay of Pooh's Muddy Path.

Pooh's Muddy Path is a minigame featured at the Muddy Path area in the 100 Acre Wood in both Kingdom Hearts and its Final Mix version. It is playable after obtaining the fifth Torn Page (typically in Halloween Town) and returning it to the book in Merlin's house in Traverse Town. The player character receives either an Orichalcum or an EXP Ring depending on the version they are playing after finishing it (the original for the former, Final Mix for the latter). Beating a time of less than five minutes is part of the requirement to receive the Cheer ability as well.

The objective of the minigame is for Sora to find all lost friends in the area, starting from the bush where Eeyore has already been found, without any time limit beyond the Cheer requirement. At first ignore Pooh, as he is slow and you do not actually need him for most of this. Head around the left side of the bush to find Roo on a large tree root, who will jump down on his own if you hit the root he is standing on. Talk to him, then head to the small clearing in front of the bush and talk to Rabbit once he comes out of the caves. Next use the vent from the well to get up the higher areas (you cannot use High Jump) and talk to Tigger (it is easiest to do so when he turns around on his log).

Next go and head for Owl who will periodically land amidst the bushes on the far left corner. Afterwards you can help Pooh get all the way up there to find Piglet; first take him to the large purple flowers close to the well, these will bring him the area above it. Then guide him onto the fallen hollow log, either use Gravity on the bee hive above it to plug the hole in the log, or use Fire to destroy the spiderweb blocking the interior if Pooh falls into the hole. Use the second patch of flowers to float him to the top, then guide him to Piglet. Afterwards you can talk to him down below at the well to end the minigame.
