Template:Game Template:Character Pongo and Perdita are Dalmatians who appear in Kingdom Hearts, having ended up in Traverse Town with their 99 Puppies.
Personality
- Pongo
Pongo is the ideal father. He is very caring of his wife and pups and in Kingdom Hearts his remorse at losing the latter is very pronounced.
- Perdita
Perdita is a very protective mother and is despondent at the loss of her puppies in Kingdom Hearts. She constantly frets for the safety of her pups, and keeps a very close watch on them.
Physical Appearance
- Pongo
Pongo is a typical Dalmatian with white fur that is speckled with black spots. He wears a red collar, as do all of his sons, while his wife and daughters wear blue collars.
- Perdita
Perdita is a typical Dalmatian with white fur that is speckled with black spots. She wears a blue collar, as do all of her daughters, while her husband and sons wear red collars.
Story
Kingdom Hearts
Prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts, Pongo and Perdita's World was destroyed. Together, they somehow found their way to Traverse Town (presumably by a Corridor of Darkness). In addition, the ninety-nine puppies which Pongo and Perdita looked after had been thrown about to other worlds in the chaos.
The story of the Dalmatians plight managed to spread very quickly amongst the residents of Traverse Town. Leon was especially concerned about the matter, and brought it to Sora's attention. Throughout his journey, Sora found the Dalmatian puppies and sent them back to Pongo and Perdita in Traverse Town. They were very grateful, and offered Sora gifts for his journey as more and more Dalmatians were returned to them.
Origin
Pongo and Perdita's appearance in Kingdom Hearts is based on their respective looks in Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians. That film was in turn inspired by the book The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith, which was published in 1956.
