Hover Ghosts and Icy Cubes trap Roxas in the Town Square area. Defeat them with the help of Thunder and Fire spells respectively, then meet Xigbar in the Graveyard. He partners up at this point to make the rest of this mission easier.
Fight through the Boneyards and Moonlight Hill to the Suspension Bridge area. Use Fire spells to clear away the Icy Cubes and the Snowy Crystal to make room for the boss.

Link every Fire, Fira, and Firaga panel you own, along with Elixirs and Hi-Ethers. Reach the boss location quickly by casting Fire to eliminate the Hover Ghosts and Icy Cubes, then take an Elixir and wipe out the Chill Ripper by casting Fire magic until it dies.
