The Land Armor is an Emblem Heartless that is found in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is one of the bosses at Agrabah.

Story

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Roxas is once again sent to Agrabah, this time to place a “device” for the Organization. Land Armor appears in the Lamp Chamber after Roxas places the device. After defeating Land Armor Roxas is able to RTC.

Physical appearance

A Land Armor has a very large, round body that is almost entirely covered in armor. Its head is very small, pitch-black, and has a jagged mouth, glowing yellow eyes, and short, light blue horns. It wears gold boots and large, gold and navy blue gauntlets. The armor around its neck is gold, its breastplate is dark blue and sky blue, and the armor on its lower body is brown with a tan, zig-zagging line around its abdomen. Its Heartless emblem is in the middle of its belly, just below its breastplate.

Strategy

Land Armor can only be attacked at the head. It is suggested to jump down from one of the market curtains at it or simply jump from the ground, with the first option often more effective. Like its other variations, it will be difficult to attack from the front, and suggested to attack it from the back. One can also jump on something and shoot magic at its head, or simply shoot magic from the ground, but Locking-on is advisable either way.

A few Loudmouths will heal it if it isn't defeated quickly. And the last option is to just run, since it is optional. After receiving a substantial amount of damage, it will fall down, allowing you to land a combo before it gets back up. However, its retribution is devastating, capable of taking out Roxas even if he has half or more of his health remaining. Casting Aeroga attacks at close range will knock it down for longer periods of time.

Origin

The Land Armor's name references the Heartless's ability to use Earth-based attacks. The name also highlights the thick armor plating adorning the Heartless's body.
