Jungle Slider (ターザンスライダ Tāzan Suraidā?) is a mini-game in the Deep Jungle world of Kingdom Hearts. The player has to collect as much red fruit as possible, while sliding down the trees and avoiding obstacles. There are five areas in the slider. To advance to the next area, Sora must collect all the available fruits. Upon completion of one challenge, a reward is gained. The Keyblade can be used occasionally to break the vines/branches that block him. In addition, the player is timed as the game is played.
The mini-game is accessed by jumping into the open tree trunk from the Tunnel. It should be noted that after each attempt, the player must return to the Tunnel to play again.
The game is only accessible after Deep Jungle's Keyhole is sealed. It should be noted that only the fruit collection begins after the Keyhole is sealed.
It should be noted that in this area, the only party member with Sora is Tarzan.
Courses
- Green Serpent is the first course. This route takes you to the Camp. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with an AP Up. There are ten fruits to collect in this area.
In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, an Elixir is the reward.
- Splash Tunnel is the second course. This course is unlocked after completing Green Serpent. After collecting all the fruit, lean left and a new route opens leading down another branch and inside a tunnel through the cliffs. This route takes you to the Hippos' Lagoon. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with an Orichalcum. There are twenty fruits to collect.
In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, an AP Up is the reward.
- Jade Spiral is the third course. This course is unlocked after completing Splash Tunnel. After collecting all the fruit, lean left and a new route opens, leading to more branches in the trees. This route takes you to the Cliff area. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with a Megalixir. There are thirty fruits to collect.
In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, a Dark Matter is the reward.
- Panic Fall is the fourth course. This course is unlocked after completing Jade Spiral. After collecting all the fruit, lean right and a new route opens up leading through more branches, close to the waterfall. This route takes you to the top of the falls. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with a Defense Up. There are forty fruits to collect.
- Shadow Cavern is the fifth and final course. This course is unlocked after completing Panic Fall. After collecting all the fruit, lean left and a new route opens up leading through the waterfall. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with a Power Up. There are fifty fruits to collect.
