As you might expect when you first face Data-Riku he is at his easiest and gets harder after he is beaten. His first move is a forward thrust so a simple dodge roll is all that is needed to avoid it. After that he is pretty easy he only has a small selection of moves which he doesn't use in quick succession. He has a dark shield much like Riku in 358/2 Days which also reacts the same way if you try to attack him with it in play. You can either use this time to recover your life during the time his shield is up or you can walk behind and attack him. He should go down quite easily.

Riku now adds two new moves to the battle. He can teleport around the arena, and he can stab the ground. This sends several types of Bug Blox outwards to damage you. Use the same strategy as before, blocking then attacking. If he teleports into the middle of the air, quickly Dodge Roll away, or try and jump over the Blox, but this requires great timing.

In this round Riku stops holding anything back and his stats improve. His strongest move is now used against you. Dark Aura! Much in the same way it was used in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories he charges around the screen teleportng using his dark powers finishing with a slam which sends out a pulse of dark energy. This move is best Dodged since it's hard to tell where he will emerge next. (This could be avoided with the ability round block) So avoid it with Dodge roll and jump for the finishing blow. The rest of the movies are the same but pack an extra punch so watch out. Otherwise you should be able to reconise his moves from the previouse battles and remember how to sevive.

First Battle

His first move is a forward thrust, so a simple dodge roll is all that is needed to avoid it. After that he is pretty easy. He only has a small selection of moves which he doesn't use in quick succession. He has a Dark Shield much like the one from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days which also reacts the same way if you try to attack the shield. You can either heal while his shield is up, or get behind him and attacks. Keep watching his pattern, use dodge roll, and it should be easy to beat him.

Second Battle

Riku now have two more attacks to use in the second round. He can teleports above you and slams his Soul Eater below, sending several types of Bug Blox outwards to damage you. Use the same strategy as before, blocking then attacking. If he teleports into the middle of the air, quickly Dodge Roll away, or try and jump over the Blox, but this requires great timing.

Third Battle

In this round, Data-Riku stops holding anything back and his stats improve. His strongest move is now used against you, Dark Aura. Much in the same way it was used in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories he charges around the screen teleportng using his dark powers finishing with a slam which sends out a pulse of dark energy. This move is best Dodged since it's hard to tell where he will emerge next. (This could be avoided with the ability round block) So avoid it with Dodge roll and jump for the finishing blow. He can also fire a Dark Firaga, which can be blocked easily. The rest of the movies are the same but pack an extra punch so watch out.
