The Command Matrix is the command system in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Before deck commands can be used in battle and in the field, they need to be installed in the Command Matrix.
Mechanics[]
The commands that can be installed are limited by the amount of Memory each command takes up and the number of available slot groups in the Command Deck. Three slot groups are available initially, with up to five additional slot groups that can be unlocked by hooking up chips to Command Expansions in the Stat Matrix.
Commands are installed in the blue slots in the Command Matrix. Installing commands in adjacent blue slots causes them to be "test-converted", or temporarily transform, into a new command, which appears in the connected red slot and, by extension, in the Command Deck. Defeating enemies earns Command Points (CP) for all installed commands. When a command accumulates enough CP, it is marked with an exclamation point.
When two marked commands are installed in adjacent blue slots, they can be permanently converted into a new command. If the two commands cannot be converted into a new command, the result of test-conversion or conversion will be a more powerful version of the command in the first blue slot, typically resulting in said command gaining levels. When you have placed a command in a sub-slot and go to select a partnered command for the other sub-slot, any commands that will react with the prior command will be highlighted in yellow.
All commands barring Item Commands are able to be leveled up to level 100 (signified by a crown); increasing their potency as their level increases.
In addition, there is a chance (known as Overspec) for the new command that has been created to form into a command with either majorly increased levels (typically 10 additional levels), a [C] bonus, signifying increased Clock gauge gain, an [R] bonus. signifying quicker reload speed, or a [CR] bonus, a combination of the two effects.
