Bragi to Baldr

Bragi is a character in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. A vessel of the ancient Keyblade Master, Luxu, he poses as one of the classmates of Keyblade wielders that Xehanort is a part of, and accompanies him and Eraqus on their journey.

History[]

Bragi and the rest of the class from Scala ad Caelum, are summoned by Master Odin for an exceptional lesson: in fact, the students from the upper class disappeared while visiting the outer worlds in preparation for their Mark of Mastery Examination. Afterwards, Odin asks his students to divide into two groups of three and go in search of him, despite the fact that students in the class are not generally expected to learn how to travel between worlds.

When it comes time to leave, Bragi is the one who suggests letting Xehanort take the lead, since he himself comes from the outside world, unlike his fellow students who never left Scala ad Caelum.

The two groups explore Agrabah and Wonderland, but return empty-handed, returning to Scala ad Caelum to debate. In the end, they decide not to tell Master Odin and investigate again.

Characteristics[]

Bragi is an individual who gives himself a detached look, but nonetheless has great enthusiasm. He is very curious about Xehanort and his origins, but his reasons are unclear. He wants to be a Keyblade Master to do what he thinks is the right thing to do.

He is a young man with reddish-brown eyes and auburn hair parted on one side. He wears loose black pants and a black jacket that resembles a martial arts jacket; he on top of it wears a blue jacket whose hood is lined with white fur. He also wears black lace-up sneakers with white soles. At his waist he wears two bronze-colored belts that intersect to form the Seal of the Dissident; however, a Symbol of Mastery is present in white gold at the intersection.

His armor is orange-red and adorned with fur on the shoulders, with the keyblade symbol in bronze on his forehead. The fins on his helmet stretch very high, resembling the helmet on Terra's armor. His bracelets also have a very pointed fin.

Behind the scenes[]

Bragi is a god in Norse mythology associated with poetry, who presides over the skralds or skalds, poets in Scandinavian culture whose role included preserving and orally transmitting history. He welcomes fallen heroes to Valhalla.
