This article is about Baymax. You may be looking for Dark Baymax. |
Baymax 2.0, simply referred to as Baymax, is an ally in Kingdom Hearts III.
He is a personal healthcare companion originally designed by Tadashi Hamada. After the original Baymax was lost, Tadashi's younger brother, Hiro Hamada, remade him and upgraded him to "Baymax 2.0."
Baymax is part of Big Hero 6, along with Hiro Hamada, Fred, Go Go Tomago, Honey Lemon, and Wasabi.
Personality[]
As he was designed to be, Baymax has a kind and caring personality towards all humans, especially those he deems to be in need of his care. Despite his extensive medical knowledge, Baymax is rather childlike in his responses, tending to become easily distracted and slow to process situations outside of medical care.
Physical Appearance[]
Baymax is a white inflatable robot with a metal endoskeletion. He has large black eyes, long arms, and rather short legs. When patrolling San Fransokyo or in battle, Baymax dons a purple and red armor with a red helmet and wings. This suit was designed by Hiro.
History[]
Baymax appears in the game as a party member for Sora in his home world "San Fransokyo" with the storyline set after the events of the movie. In this game, the original Baymax robot that was left in the Silent Sparrow portal was found and reconstructed into Dark Baymax, a Heartless version of his former self. As a party member, Baymax aids Sora in defeating the menace and saving the city. The two can perform a move called the "Intercept Jet", which allows Sora to mount Baymax for a battle in the skies. Due to his medical knowledge, Baymax can also heal his teammates.
When Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy first arrive in San Fransokyo, Baymax is battling the Heartless on the San Fransokyo Bridge with the rest of Big Hero 6, and first meets Sora, Donald, and Goofy when he and Hiro check to see if Go Go is alright after she was sent flying by the Heartless, giving her a medical scan and finding she had only suffered a concussion, but suggested not moving her for the moment to avoid aggravating her injury. Baymax then aids Sora, Donald, and Goofy with taking down the Heartless on the bridge before returning to base with them and the rest of Big Hero 6.
Later on, it is discovered that the Baymax whom Hiro had to leave behind in the Silent Sparrow portal when they rescued Abigail Callaghan had been discovered by Dark Riku, a member of the true Organization XIII. Using the Darkube Heartless, Dark Riku combines the empty Baymax with Hiro's fighting chip (now reconfigured into a heart of pure darkness) and the Heartless to give the robot twisted armor, turning him into a malevolent fighting machine. Working with Sora and his friends, Hiro and Big Hero 6 are able to defeat the Heartless corruption and restore the original Baymax to normal. With two Baymaxes now by their side, Big Hero 6 continued to defend San Fransokyo after Sora, Donald, and Goofy left to continue their own journey.
During the game's credits, Hiro and Baymax managed to stop a car from falling off the edge but were unable to rescue the other car until the other Baymax rescued it. After the team saved the civilians both Baymaxes strike a pose to the cheering crowd.
Origin[]
Baymax originally appeared as a main character in the animated Disney film Big Hero 6.
