Bambi is a young fawn and the son of the Great Prince of the Forest and an unknown doe. He is a Summon who appears in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
Physical Appearance[]
Bambi's appearance is based on that of a white-tailed deer fawn. He has brown eyes and orange fur, a light brown scalp that trails down his back to the tip of his tail, and a tan snout and underbody. Like most fawns, Bambi has white spots used for camouflage, black tipped ears, and the signature white tail.
History[]
Kingdom Hearts[]
Bambi's world was destroyed by the Heartless. However, the strong sense of innocence and purity in the young fawn's heart allowed him to be preserved in the form of the Summon Gem, Naturespark.
After Sora finds this item in the 100 Acre Wood and takes it to the Fairy Godmother, she restores Bambi's spirit and Sora gains the ability to summon him in battle. After sealing Kingdom Hearts, Bambi returns to his world. Bambi's world can be briefly seen each time the player summons the little fawn, but it currently lacks a name.
Chain of Memories[]
In Castle Oblivion, Bambi reappears as a figment of Sora's memories in the form of a Summon Card. Sora obtains Bambi's Summon Card after completing the 100 Acre Wood floor.
Abilities[]
Kingdom Hearts[]
When summoned, Bambi prances about the area, dropping large quantities of MP orbs in the process. Any enemy defeated while Bambi is present on the battlefield drops more orbs than usual. Also, the more enemies Sora defeats while Bambi is summoned, the more orbs Bambi drops. If a certain amount of enemies are defeated while Bambi is in play, Bambi will make a great leap and drop a special item, usually a Mega-Potion or Elixir.
Chain of Memories[]
His Sleight is called Paradise, during which Bambi drops HP Orbs. If more than one Bambi card is stocked, he also stuns the enemy. He can also use the Gifted Miracle Sleight, if one is not on the Halloween Town floor and in the Sleight Idyll Romp.
Origin[]
Bambi is based on his respective character in the 1942 Disney film Bambi where he is the main protagonist and hero of the film. The film is, in turn, based on the Austrian book Bambi: Eine Lebensgeschichte aus dem Walde (lit. Bambi, a Life in the Woods) by Felix Salten.
The beginnings of Bambi: Eine Lebensgeschichte aus dem Walde are much the same as Bambi's story in the film. A young fawn whose mother is killed by a hunter, and is left to be raised by his father, the Great Prince of the Forest, falls in love with Faline, and fathers twins.
