In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, abilities are equipped through the Panel System. There are two categories of abilities: those that are installed in the form of Ability Panels, and those that are activated by linking Ability Units to certain Gears or by equipping certain Ring Panels.

Sliding Block Sliding Block Quickly slide forward as you block. Linked panel[3]

DaysGlide Glide 5 Hold Y in midair to ride the wind. You will stay airborne until you release the button.
Homing Glide Homing Glide Lock on to a target while gliding to automatically move toward it. Linked panel[3]
Rocket Glide Rocket Glide Slam past enemies by gliding right after you begin an air slide. (Requires Air Slide.) Linked panel[3]
DaysAir Slide Air Slide 5 Press B in midair to perform an aerial dash.
Air Rush Air Rush Knock enemies aside when you perform an air slide. Linked panel[3]

Magical Strike Gain a slight boost in Strength if your Magic is higher. Weapons

Combo Boost Dish out increasingly higher damage as your combo continues. Weapons, Soldier Ring
Vitality Surge Gain a boost in Strength when your HP is full. Weapons, Vitality Ring
Vitality Barrier Take 1/3 the usual damage when your HP is full. Weapons, Recovery Ring
Alive 'n' Kicking Attack enemies when your HP is full and they will always stagger. Weapons
Striker Gain a boost in Strength when your HP is low. Weapons, Critical Ring
Defender Gain a boost in Defense when your HP is low. Weapons, Protect Ring
Grand Slam Deal critical hits more often when your HP is low. Weapons, Crimson Blood
Damage Control Take half the usual damage when your HP is low. Weapons, Witch's Chaos
Second Chance Retain 1 HP after being hit with an otherwise fatal attack. Weapons, Rune Ring
Perma-Plight Lose the ability to recover HP once it is low, and remain in constant peril. Master's Circle
One HP Fight with only 1 HP. You cannot recover more than this. Extreme
